Re: Bitcoins

I doubt it'll live to drop that far. Kind of like a meteorite burning up in the atmosphere and never reaching the ground. I don't know i think its more of a Go-NO GO thing if they fix the problems it will take off again if they don't it will fizzle out and deflate quite quick... I imagine this year...

Re: OSHW TO247 IGBT watercooled laminated half-bridge

(@arlin) and this chip is not good enough for that. for applications <50kW continuous rated and should be OK. Yeah I was thinking about how people look for a cheaper drive chip... Mine are like $20 each.... But when the 3 driver boards cost ~ $1000 to build up Saving $84 for all the hassle and work...

On the note if it's stored on a paper or hardware wallet how do you get your new form of currency when the fork happens? You needed to have looked this up before you bought bitcoin! Anyway, google this.. i'm not a bitcoin guy, i don't know.. But.. you should have your money in a paper or hardware w...

Damn no word on any shunts. I have just started searching but I am not sure what I need. I can work the math but what type of design for a shunt resistor is a good one?

Re: Bitcoins

This is a very short window of time. In the great big picture 5 years or what ever its been compared to the 120 years until all the mining is done. I would not expect total adoption until something like 2030 or even 2050. It will grow until then. Unless the idoits don't fix the problems but I don't ...

Re: 144Vdc EV Charger

its almost time to re-vamp this thread. make it bi-directional, higher power.... ability to stack in parallel. i don't know about the DC voltage though. this project was for 144Vdc because i thought it would be hard to make and to fit a 400V DIY pack from re-cycled leaf or chevy volt. 2 years later...

Re: Built my brother a present. Was able to get 17x the rating of the motor!

H'mmmm ... I do not know about Canada but in the US without a make, model and VIN it could be a real problem getting a tag for it. I assume it is using direct gear reduction as it looks like too short a case for a CVT setup. Nice upgrade regardless. Bahahahahahaha a tag bahahahahaha this is an elec...

Re: High power Hi voltage controller KITS (Running in my CRX)

Now this video I was able to dyno 303hp at the wheels.

I do no suggest going that high.
With the 600a parts I would stop at ~180hp and with the 800a parts I would stop at ~220 hp.
Maybe less depending on your setup.

High power Hi voltage controller KITS (Running in my CRX)

I have been getting an amazing amount of interest in controllers and controller kits. I am working on offering a complete controller but that will take me time maybe even years as I am very busy. WARNING this is experimental and there is NO WARRANTY. I will stand behind what I send if there is a pro...

Re: Time for MORE POWER! 1400a 1200v IGBT controller build!

I am quite confident in this design. When you lay things out on a rectangular layout like most conventional controllers the inductance from each end can be quite large. Meaning the caps don't all share current as well. With this design the caps have a very short and low inductance path from each cap...
