Re: Assembled Hi-Power LiPo battery packs - any interest?

. And perhaps a 100 ohm resistor between the negative terminal and the chassis to ground any build up. I don't recommend that! Any time the chassis is connected to either side of the pack its potential for all kinds of problems including threats to life safety. I touched the precharge side of the 1...

Re: Assembled Hi-Power LiPo battery packs - any interest?

There is a way to design it out. Polycarbonate absorbs water over time and becomes conductive.

Re: build your very own Lebowski controller !

Setup jumper?

I use a momentary switch its not held down more then .5 sec when you need it.

And with the new firmware you almost never need to push it. As it auto calibrates then its done....

Re: Tesla Model 3

I have a model S in my driveway but I was not dazzled by the shiny. It's a loaner for the last 3 months from a nice person I consult for. Nonetheless my wife and I ordered 2 model 3s knowing we would know someone who wants the second. The biggest reason we wanted a model 3 was the simple fact they w...

Re: Tesla Model 3

That might look that way to someone who loves to spin negative shit. But they are an expanding business I would expect their debt to expand as they expand at first. There is no easy way to tool up for something as big as modle 3 production and the world's largest battery at the same time. Hilhater e...

Re: Tesla Model 3

You do realize that Tesla has never made a profit and are $4.5 billion dollars in debt? I love their cars, but how do you stay in business if you never make a profit? https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2018/01/05/teslas-debt-rating-could-go-farther-into-the-ditch/ They make profit on every car...

Re: Tesla Model 3

Tesla should downsize and focus on luxury electric cars and self driving technology only. They are losing too much money trying to go big. Back in 2010 nobody forecasted gas prices to be this low. Its hurt the entire EV industry. Where do you get your data lmfao... Last month was the biggest EV sal...

Re: Bitcoins

I doubt it'll live to drop that far. Kind of like a meteorite burning up in the atmosphere and never reaching the ground. I don't know i think its more of a Go-NO GO thing if they fix the problems it will take off again if they don't it will fizzle out and deflate quite quick... I imagine this year...

Re: OSHW TO247 IGBT watercooled laminated half-bridge

(@arlin) and this chip is not good enough for that. for applications <50kW continuous rated and should be OK. Yeah I was thinking about how people look for a cheaper drive chip... Mine are like $20 each.... But when the 3 driver boards cost ~ $1000 to build up Saving $84 for all the hassle and work...

Re: Bitcoins

This is a very short window of time. In the great big picture 5 years or what ever its been compared to the 120 years until all the mining is done. I would not expect total adoption until something like 2030 or even 2050. It will grow until then. Unless the idoits don't fix the problems but I don't ...
