Re: 6pence Resistance Spot Welder

In order to keep the welder simple, the amps are adjusted by changing the amount of the battery amps. So would the CCA of the battery be a better indicator of "weld power" than Ah? Most of the car batteries I have seen don't even have Ah ratings. Car batteries provide more wallop for far less time,...

Re: HK LiPo wiring harnesses

Is that photo with the 4mm bullets a series harness for two banks of LiPo or a parallel harness for two banks :?:

I am interested as I don't have time to solder and order wires connectors etc.

Thanks.

PS do you ship to UK, thanks.

Re: I want make the sora electric motorcycle

That motor on the swingarm design carries a pretty heavy patent. I think there is actually a legal battle in china right now involving a large hub co. Maybe quanshun iirc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Not to hijack the thread, but that makes me laugh!! Since when did the Chinese respect IP la...

Re: e-bike cube (new project /page7) DH frame + mxus

Hi,just a question about the lighting in your garage, I myself have the same problem, no lights in an underground garage. Can you tell me where you got the switch for your lights and how you set the whole thing up. How long do the fluorescent lamps last with the 40Ah LiFe battery, also, how much did...

Cube V2 Bosch-Nuvinci Hysnc Problem.

Hi folks. I recently bought this bike :- https://www.cube.eu/media_ftp/BIKE_Bilder_2016/768400/details/D768400_05.jpg https://www.cube.eu/media_ftp/BIKE_Bilder_2016/768400/768400_zoom.jpg It worked fine for 2000 miles and then it developed a serious issue in that the H-Sync interface, visible clearl...

Re: Can I Charge A Lead Acid Battery Using A Powerbank.....

Why are you so insistent on running everything through the lead acid packs instead of using your other packs directly to provide power for almost everything you need to do? Because big lead acid packs, when charged up, means I can get 3, 4, charges without having to worry about any other aspect of ...

Hi guys, thanks for all of the feedback, you both make very valid points. Yes, it is entirely possible that these figures provided by these retailers are total BS, in fact, we have been there before with them, have we not :?:  Yes, we have. Basically, what I have is as follows: 10 {ten} 12v, 7...

Thanks.

There are people out there in so-called 3rd World countries who have solutions to these things.

I understand that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, and that this is an inefficient method of working.

Re: Can I Charge A Lead Acid Battery Using A Powerbank.....

I think you're going to have a bad time. A 16000mah Powerbank (16AH) will run at 3.7v. So that's 60WH, near as makes no difference. A deep cycle lead acid battery is typically 75+AH at 12v, or 900WH. So you'll need 15 Powerbanks to charge one of those, assuming full efficiency (which you won't get)...

Re: Can I Charge A Lead Acid Battery Using A Powerbank.....

Car jump starter/booster packs usually contain a cheap sealed lead acid battery of <18Ah. Connecting a charged LA battery to a discharged one will cause the latter to be partially charged at a slow rate. Trying to charge a large battery with a small one will mean you won't get much charging done be...

Can I Charge A Lead Acid Battery Using A Powerbank.....

Hi folks. This is more of a prepper question than an Ebike question but its all interconnected. Cut a long story short I have a rental garage which prohibits the use of generators or power generating equipment. To counteract that, i have got some big, deep-disccharge lead acid batteries. I can paral...

Brilliant. Do you have any left and how much is shipping to United Kingdom, thanks. Very impressed that it can weld copper. Re: How Do I Diagnose A Bad Cell In A Long Parallel String

Thanks to people for the above replies. With regards to getting 100amps from a cell, a 1Ah cell, without getting warm, I find that a bit optimistic, no :?: :?: That is 100c. Not even the 26650 from A123, the known genuine ones, had that sort of a rating. They could give 30c burst, if I recall, and t...

Re: How Do I Diagnose A Bad Cell In A Long Parallel String

They are purported to be A123 cells, yes. They have some of them at least , stood the discharge test. I discharged one of them at 20amps once, it gave up 900mah and was quite hot at the end. Why has what I done "dangerous"....the cells are all isolated by their own heatshrink. Forgive my ignorance b...

Yes always a bms is required. But there is such a thing as a human bms. And you are doing that now. Hard to say which type is least reliable. The most reliable, is an electronic bms, backed up by a human bms. What I mean is, a bms is not carte blanche to ignore your battery. Having a "you just blew...

Re: How Do I Diagnose A Bad Cell In A Long Parallel String

Interesting. How thick is the copper sheet? Any possibilty of corrosion anywhere? Maybe the cells just needed a"wake-up cycle". I've never experienced that myself but it is a possibility if the cells were sitting unused for a long time. I'll be interested to see what you find. I think it is because...
