Re: CA 2.23 voltage ...remind me please..brain fade

yes, I found the 20-200 volt optional reference too,
Wondering if a resistor mod does the swap to 200v ??
Have sent Grin a msg too, as can't see any info on how to change it

CA 2.23 voltage ...remind me please..brain fade

Hi After many years...(Since the Xlyte 540x group buy) I am finally getting around to putting the bike together.. Have an old V2.23 CA and a lyen EB224 Controller. Going to run at ..34-35 series lipo...147 volts. No other accessories..just the CA and a throttle Can I run the CA at 150 volts direct f...

Re: Creating MOSFET switch to run lights Raleigh Trail XC

This has three wires. grad 12 volt Data line. The bike is 36 volt and there is no battery voltage at the display/ control unit. Only 12 vol tin and the data out. So it does seem that originally any light switching was done at the controller, but this controller does not appear to have that facility....

Re: Creating MOSFET switch to run lights Raleigh Trail XC

I probed the various outputs on the board and nothing changed with activation of th e'light switch'.. but now the lady after riding th bike for a few days ..after coming form the bike she had for a few years..a Twist and Go style..has decide that this PAS style bike is really a gutless piece of shit...

Re: Creating MOSFET switch to run lights Raleigh Trail XC

I had been told on the Pedelec forum that there was in fact an actual switch output of battery voltage on the board, and not via a switched encoded signal to the the controller to switch the light. The opinion was that some of the bikes with OEM lights did take power direct from the handle bar unit....

Creating MOSFET switch to run lights Raleigh Trail XC

Hi guys I just picked up for free a generic Rayleigh Velo trail e-bike...low powers from geared hub 36 volt PAS only bike It has a little 3 button handle bar control unit As in pics below Power Assist level lights on/off Now even the manual says that the lighting part is not connected on this bike.....

Trickle current for BMS balance charging

Can someone confirm what I am thinking ...regarding charging LiPo with a BMS with a single cell balancing current of 168mA (+/- 20mA). BesTech HCX-D131 If I want to ensure a nice balancing charge, I'd set up a charger to charge at that sort of current, so if I set a charge current of say 125mA I'd g...

Re: Timing Adjustment Tool

Just trying to figure out if hall timing shifts the phase waves relative to eachother No, or if it shifts all of them together. Based on your posts and others in this thread I think the former is the case, but I'm trying to confirm. Correct, it just shifts them all.... But the controller itself is ...

Re: Timing Adjustment Tool

- does advancing/retarding the timing actually change the phase angle of the waves? If you do know the term Phase angle control , as in theis device here: http://nz.rs-online.com/web/p/thyristor-power-controller-assemblies/0841924/ which I believe controls power by adjsuting the relationship bewtee...

Re: Timing Adjustment Tool

The tool actually creates a synthisised hall signal..it does nto actually 'capture' and send out the original. Also it does actually 'advance' the timing..that would be impossible without the ability to see in to the future. In effect, it see s the incoming signals (it intercepts all three) then del...

Re: Timing Adjustment Tool

As AW said.. I started typing a reply on the iphone from hotel room earlier..but it cbacame too much work.. I am not sure exactly if it the correct 'technicla ' description of what happens but as AW says is effectively what happens. Each 'pulse ' of current down the phase wires creates a rising magn...

Since it is a 'self learning' controller, that sort of rules out a wrongbwiring combo I'd have thought.

Just subscribing in case I need a pack..well not me..I have a couple of bikes here that people keep bugging home about being off me..but I refuse to build them lipo packs

Probably looking for a 72-80 volt pack..10-12 Ah minimum...80 -100 amp peak discharge, cruising average about 30...can you do it?

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Are we close to seeing V3.1? I would like to use the 3 position switch configuration improvements. ETA? 3.1b12 should be out in the next few days - it's back in alpha test just now. We had an annoying bug show up a week ago that postponed things a bit. Meanwhile, here's a teaser :D CA3-1a22_newParm...

Re: New big motor, stuttering noise at high amps

Weird as it may sound, and this has been discussed years back... phase / hall wiring combo..it maybe correct, it maybe a 'poor' correct or a totally incorrect forward. no load battery current will tell you. For some weird reasons, never explained, of the three' correct ' combinations, some times som...
