Re: Pinch torque arm

I decided to make my own as getting 2 drilled and shipped would have cost me over $100!

Regen torque arm

I've finally made my torque arm for regen! https://photos-3.dropbox.com/t/2/AABY7fa9lCYCqTeF9of3w3w5vnUZii9uZBrA2viHo64D7w/12/5905557/jpeg/32x32/3/1524240000/0/2/IMG_20180420_000315.jpg/EOfJtAQY2N0bIAcoBw/0LT2BbKMD5evEgrFTVL1_wgDxcE3Pp0YDNJIX9JsCG0%2Csqjgbot32MI-kJyGwL8SavgIFM_qwOy3sVWW9glrD3c?dl=0&...

Re: Pinch torque arm

The grin V2 torque arm isn't pinch and not good for motors with regen Works great, one installed as designed and one reversed. Running for 3 years. 2500 miles. Just a 1000W MXUS at 52V 25A buttoning regen. How do you do that? I have 2 torque arm mounted reverse to each other and there are still wig...

Re: Single-speed track stealth ultralight

I may get the q100h instead. I can't bear the noise of a motor. I used the q100h before it was decently quiet on sine wave

Re: Single-speed track stealth ultralight

Thanks looking forward for news. I'm considering getting one but I'm afraid of noise! I like the silence of direct drive and you mentioned it's louder than the bbs02 and the cute100h

Re: Single-speed track stealth ultralight

how did you count the number of pole?

I'm quite impressed by what you said. at the say time, having killed so many geared motor I'd be keen to hear what will happen in the next 3 months. Clutch never broke within the first week or month, but after a longer period of time.

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

That's a good idea to have both geared and DD. Maybe something I shall consider! Although I'm dreadful of punctures once I put a motor they tend to gather that!

I also heard that 2wd increase efficiency! So even better

Re: Lightest DD motor?

The Crystalyte NSM motor is only 2.7kg, http://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/motors/msnm15.html http://www.ebikes.ca/media/catalog/product/m/n/mnsm15.jpg In a 16" rim it's OK but laced into a 26" bike wheel most people would find the performance underwhelming, and the efficiency at high...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

One way to use the limits in the controller is to set the maximum values that you would ever want to use with the battery and motor you have. For example the battery might have a 30 amp limit in the BMS that you don't really want to exceed, or perhaps it has a 50 amp peak rating so you might be wil...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Thanks. I'll put everything to the max then! 96A for max phase current and regen. 6000w for motor max power.

Hopefully the controller work with this without issue

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

What's the max power I can use safely with the phaserunner? Can I use 3000w as max? Can I put 5000w?

I'd like a better acceleration from stand point. Can I put battery power at 96A?

Re: LTO Lithium Titanium Oxide (Titanate) Battery 30S - Seeking the Ultimate Commuter Battery

Again, use power to compare Apple to apples... Average voltage of LTO cell is 2.3v. with 31s you have 71v. If you need 100A it means you need 7100w of power. If you were to get ncr18650pf, max discharge is 10A. So if you get a slightly larger battery with 230 cells you can also get 7000W discharge. ...

Re: LTO Lithium Titanium Oxide (Titanate) Battery 30S - Seeking the Ultimate Commuter Battery

There are a few people here in ES with more then 1200 cycle on Lipo batteries. From memory they build there battery pack with much more capacity then actually needed. And was careful charging and draining cells. If you stay away from hard usage, and dont have prolonged WOT sessions that pulls A clo...
