Re: Speed controller and motor wattage

the 500 watt of the motor is the max, so driving it with a 350 watt controller is on problem.
the sine controller make less noise and can be smoother.

there is no connection between you laptop and the controller. in the video i see only the tx "led" blinking on the software, and not the rx meaning the software is sending data but not getting a response. to find the correct serial port. open the device Manager on the laptop, open the tab ports(com ...

Re: AC clamp current sensor on DC?

depends on the sensor tech.

if it uses a current transformer no you can't use it on dc
if it uses a hall effect sensor, it might work

Re: Reading data from my sabvoton controller

-Battery voltage (should be no problem since the code you posted is designed for that) yes the battery voltage is in the example. i am wondering if the ratio between the data value an the real battery voltage is the same for all models of the sabvoton. -Phase current, or Battery current, (I think t...

Re: Aprilia RS50 with 4kW QS-motor 17" rim

i have bin playing with the sabvoton data port. the usb connector is not "USB" its serial the data, and looks like modbus. in a modbus system the master asks the slave (sabvoton) to send a range of data. this is what the pc does when it communicates with the controller. i will probably write a post ...

you want to check the cell voltages. if the pack is 41V than the cells should be all be 4,1V.

Re: Salvaged EV cells index, Leaf, Volt, Tesla, etc

I bought a Peugeot ion battery pack. (the same battery as in the Mitsubishi iMiEV and the Citroën C-ZERO ) The cells are called LEV50 assembled in to modules. The pack consists of 10 8S modules and 2 4S modules, called LEV50-8 and LEV50-4. Here is a datasheet: https://www.gs-yuasa.com/en/technic/vol...

there is resistance between the crocodile clamps and the battery. maybe you can add a wire between the battery and the magnet and measure the real cell voltage.

the number of parallel wires lowers the resistance.

do you mean smd? i think power dissipation. the wires will heat up when passing high current.
