Re: Anything better than 18650-25R?

I think you might like the Panasonic/Sanyo NCR18650GA. https://batterybro.com/products/panason ... 450mah-10a

Comparing GA vs 30Q for a 5A discharge with 3V cutoff:
GA => 3Ah
30Q => 2.6Ah

Re: Calling all Bay Area ebike riders

+1 bay area rider. I'm near mountain view.

Would be great to map out the bay area riders. Equally awesome would be a shared garage / lab space with shared tools (e.g tab welder!)

Any update on your build?

I too am looking for a headset for the Q76R. Did Qulbix tell you the FSA Orbit Headset is the correct one?

Re: Samsung INR 18650 25r 48v and 52v battery packs for sa

This is great to have a US based seller Got a few questions. 1. Any plans to get the UN 38.3 certification for your battery packs? 2. Where are the packs made? Have any internal pictures of assembly, welding, etc 3. Are your cells sourced directly from Samsung to avoid fake cells? 4. Any plans to of...

Re: Vector. New 5.4 kW ebike from scratch.

Artur, Can you let us know what components you use on the complete bike that you sell? That way, we save time figuring out compatible components to order. Manufacturer make and model for these parts...: 1. headset -- your website says the manufacturer is Cane Creek. what's the model? reference video...

Re: 18650 battery Kit development and discussion

Bare copper as a bus bar is probably not a good idea, unless you can somehow guarantee no air comes between the copper and the cell. Copper oxidizes in the presence of air and forms copper oxide, a non conductive layer. For pretty much every connector ever, copper is coated in gold or tin to avoid c...

Posted BMS pics here: http://imgur.com/a/Pgpkr#0 ... since the forum doesn't handle high res images that well. The main BMS board is a 24MHz, ST Cortex M3 processor: http://www.st.com/web/catalog/mmc/FM141/SC1169/SS1031/LN775/PF216837 Part of this family: http://www.st.com/web/catalog/mmc/FM141/SC11...

Re: Thread for new battery breakthrough PR releases

This battery was already mentioned in this thread, but there was no talk about energy density. Looks like they've since provided a little chart. So if you have typical 44g 18650 cell, according to this chart, that's about 4400mAh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJwZ9uEpJOo http://powerjapanplus.com...

Re: The most advanced Adaptto Mini-E Controller + BMS

I' believe the reason (speculation) they don't let people know what is happening behind the scenes, or why they are not letting everyone know where they stand with building the units is that they are personally selecting who gets units. They are giving priority over some people than others. Just li...

I would say yes to that. I like how they put the caps directly underneath the FETs. Makes for a good low impedance path.

Re: The most advanced Adaptto Mini-E Controller + BMS

Good news: my two Mini-Es arrived today! :D For those awaiting shipment: Adaptto acknowledged payment on June 25 and shipped shortly afterwards (though I never actually received notice of shipment or a tracking #). So that was 16 days shipping time to California, with the expedited shipping option. ...

Re: The most advanced Adaptto Mini-E Controller + BMS

Here's my Adaptto purchase experience thus far. My bank transferred the money on June 10th and it took another 15 days for Adaptto to actually receive the money. From what I know, the delay was because my bank attempted to transfer directly to Adaptto’s bank and not use the corresponding bank (Raiff...
