Re: Vector e-bike Frame 599$ /Adaptto/Parts WORLDWIDE

mxus v3 motor with 150mm axle how did you plan to use 150mm dropouts swingarm with motor that has 150mm axel? i hope you understand 150mm dropouts is a size between dropouts from inner side. Our standart swingarm is 135 that you can easly pull to 145.. The one you have is 164mm, and can pe pulled t...

Re: Apollo 250 Dirt Bike Conversion

I didnt see the BHT motor once in that video, but i also cannot understand the language either. The kv on the paper at the end could be the comparison. Speed seems very close not sure about torque Nm At 1:30 you can see the motors side by side, but you have right it isn't the BHT as it has black co...

Re: The 3500mAh heavyweight division: Sanyo NCR18650GA vs Panasonic NCR18650GA vs LG MJ1 vs Samsung INR18650-35E

Heat basically leads to "faster chemical reaction" which increases the performance. -> less internal resistance, so less voltage drop and more Wh If you going to abuse your battery, it makes a lot of sense to warm it up (RC model pilots/drivers usually doing this with the LiPos for records and such ...

Re: Sur-Ron Light Bee USA group buy

I think the price is still reasonable considering from what you get. Compared with mopeds or motorcycles with combustion engines it goes in the right direction (EV is getting more and more affordable), butthe Surron definitely needs street approval. Otherwise it will keep beeing a "nice toy", but no...

Looks good!. I want to see the "Denzel 7.5K" in action, and how it holds against the "big block/BHT".
There is a vid from a russia guy who has done a comparison between D7500 and the BHT (in the end he measured torque).

Re: Rim stronger than the sunringle MTX39?

If FluxZoom is going to lace a heavy (10kg+) hub motor into it, all those rims will break sooner or later.
For Middrive the best choice probabaly, but for hub drive i would recommend to use moped rims, spokes and tires with plenty of rubber.

Re: Sur-ron Adaptto

I asked Allex what he thought about the Adaptto and he says that there hasn't been much success with mid drives. I think that is because most mid drives freewheel. This is a direct drive setup which differs from most mids. If the motor settings can be set up properly for this motor, it should be a ...

Re: Using a MPPT solar charge controller as a bulk charger

On a day with frequent scudding clouds this wastes a lot of usable charge time. Changing the recovery time constant would be a good thing but it is not programable. Yes thats the main problem. It might be good enough for stationary use, but installed on a vehicle which is moving it would have poor ...

Re: Using a MPPT solar charge controller as a bulk charger

"3.55V per cell, which is suitable for most LiFePO4" I don't find an Lion version? The float/CV voltage can be specified by the customer (check specifications the column far right) . As this is a charger and not a BMS, the cell voltage by itself doesn't matter. If you have 14s LiIon battery for ins...

Re: Using a MPPT solar charge controller as a bulk charger

Nice controllers for sure, but they are buck controllers and wouldn't be useful charging my Ebike. The MPT-7210A is CC/CV, something I need for my LiPoly. That's bullshit. https://genasun.com/all-products/solar-charge-controllers/for-lithium/gvb-8a-li-lithium-solar-boost-controller/ They have boost...

Re: Using a MPPT solar charge controller as a bulk charger

Thanks for posting the boost controller I wasn't aware of them and will be buying one to try out. In reading the reviews it seems that these reset a lot if the input voltage drops so the best way to hook one up would be to use the house battery as the input. I don't own such controller, but a few m...

Re: PowerVelocity controller review

THat ESR meter does measure low resistances. I get that it was designed for measuring internal resistance of caps. I did read the description. So why does that matter specifically? If I put a shunt across it's 2 leads, will it measure the resistance of the shunt? My suspicion is that it will. So th...

The geometry looks better now.
I always adjust the geometry so the bike is stable when riding hands-free. The fork angle or rather the trail of the front wheel is important for that.

Re: PowerVelocity controller review

That's an ESR meter. Designed to measure series resistance of capacitors. Seems to have a resolution of 0.001. Not very adequate resolution for measuring a value of 0.0032 vs 0.0035. I told him already that this meter is the wrong device. It should have the 4-wire method and much more resolution. 1...

I never mentioned the risk of FETs failing due to inconsistent supply. It's rather consistent and comes form a single supplier. I did mention that there may be just bad mosfets in batches and that's why I warrant controllers against defects. My english is not perfect, but that there may be just bad...

What controller would you run madin88? Tom I would try it with what i have after adding halls, which would be Adaptto Max-E and a Powervelocity 12F. A Kelly KBSX with high speed firmware should work well but it has only speed based throttle. The coming controller from VasiliSk doesn't look bad and ...
