Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

Thats coming along really nicely! great pics as usual. I think the 4mm alu plate on the swingarm will make a big difference in rigidity. btw: Zero motorcycles are running same type of belt but only 2mm more width (special size for them). So 12mm vs 14mm or 10kW from my setup VS ??? how much kW has a...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

this is interesting. so far iv been happy with hubmotors and 15kw, but have always been interested in mid drives for the same reasons- poor road contact on rough, not so good off road etc. the main deal breaker has been the noise of a chain drive though. i dont want a whipper snipper after using nic...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

best case you have blown the halls protection resistor, r113 from memory. that would explain why the voltage isnt more like 4.5v. the tiny resistor is in on the board near one of the mounting screws under the back end cap(without the wires exit) crea2k made a thread about replacing said resistor. ha...

Re: Spot Welding Copper Strips to 18650 Battery Cells

just thought id put it out there-

has anyone toyed with using multiple mots in parallel to get enough juice to do copper welding?

perhaps someone could shed some light on weather or not it would, in theory, work and any other hints that would help?

cheers.

Re: Spot Welding Copper Strips to 18650 Battery Cells

So. If I have .2mm copper strips with the nickel tabs spot welded to it. Could I take a 30mm wide copper strip and fold it to 10mm wide to increase the overall area and amp carrying ability while keeping it less than 18650 width. In the future I'm looking to do a 30q pack in the 8p size or more. Bu...

Re: 8kw Enduro Frame Build

frame steel or aly?
i have worked on a cheap alu version with the square tubing which was light, but did not fill me with high amp confidence..
even the bolt on "torque plates" i diddnt realise, were painted blocks of soft aluminium which chewed just with testing the motor on the stand

Re: Qulbix 165/140 Raptor /NYX Carbon - Sabvoton/Adaptto - 20s/22s Build #5

I was worried about those dropouts spreading, so made clamping stainless "spanners" to shift the leverage up the swingarm. I got a stainless 12mm thick block lazercut that press fits tight in the dropout socket, welded on a piece of flatbar with a single 8mm bolt that is not visible in the pic(behin...

Re: Adaptto Setup

No need to turn back on to charge so solved that problem fine, ill give it a ride now then mess with pwr timing. As for ovs I thought it only kicks in when motor is at max voltage limited speed ill use it now and again for speed runs but didn't think it would make any difference at low speed accele...

with the weather getting slimier as winter comes closer, i decided to pop on the shinko sr241's i had stashed. managed to totally mangle a tube getting the rear one on, it was a tubeless version and massively tough. all the swearing was worth it :D they are the most awesome tyres. bike feels so much...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

make a sleave from pvc pipe that fits the axle, with a notch in just the right spot to guide the wires clear of the disc. add a few spacers, may also need a notch and all good. thats what i did. i think bigboar had some pics in this thread somewhere- https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f...
