Re: NYX Quokka Build

so looks like the guy blew the sabvoton because the phase wires were not properly connected on powerup(must have dislodged when he transported the bike). i think only 1 or 2 connected, blew all the fets on one phase. the controller has 30 fets btw, 10/phase. the fet type is called techcode , and loo...

Re: help sabvoton 72200 meltdown!

so i went to see the fried controller today. on careful inspection, the guy had fired it up with only one, maybe 1 and a half, of the xt 150 phase plugs connected :| i think they had become disconnected when he moved the bike to his place with a van, and as the bike is still only partly built, the p...

Re: NYX Quokka Build

wow. that looks awesome! have you got the sabvoton working? i got mine programmed ok, then a mate blew it up somehow. he was trying to test it on the stand, powered up, twisted the throttle and got a bbq. i suspect the controller had somehow "forgotten" the halls combo thus blowing the fets. will se...

Re: help sabvoton 72200 meltdown!

Hi I had this happen on one of my sabvoton 72200s. I traced the problem back to where the cable exits the motor and the brake disc had cut into it. The short to earth will only occur when the disc retaining bolts pass over the cable. There is very little gap for the cable to pass through hence the ...

help sabvoton 72200 meltdown!

I have got a sabvoton 72200 +qs 205 50h v3 to try out on a friends bike(first sabvoton for me), i have programmed it and finally got a good grasp of the software operations. i finally let him take it home, and on testing, he said the throttle seemed unresponsive so he tried to get it to go by giving...

Re: Cromotor issue... bad sound and lack of power

be VERY careful when handling the magnets- dont let them clack together, they will crack!
cracked magnets cannot be repaired.
always store them with cardboard/something soft between them, think carefully when handling them.
good luck.

id say maybe not if you were"blasting up the back roads" as you say.. iv made a samsung 30q pack with 396cells, i was hoping to get ~200km to a charge but reality says more like 120km max at 50kph on mostly flat :| this is after i tested it on a 750km daytrip :D qs 205 had ~31.7wh/km. there is a goo...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Ok, I´m going to try it :) just to confirm, so basically connecting a rc charger to 1s, on negative (13) positive (14) (that should be the correct polarity, isn´t it?) until that group is at same level, is that correct? Thank you so much for the tips guys... a cell group that seems to drop out is n...

Iv been getting a few pms for throttle requests so i thought id better update here. sorry for letting you all down, but since domino changed their moq policy(100 units minimum or something crazy, i cant remember), i just cant justify making any orders for more throttles for the moment unless they ch...

Re: Can I spot weld copper strips?

copper works great, providing it is thin enough, that you dont rely on it for mechanical strength to hold the pack together, and that you have a big enough spot welder with tungsten electrodes. oh, and keep it dry.
