Re: Best Cushiony Rear Shock for Ebike

cheap coil shocks can be simple w/ no damping

but some cheap ones w/ some rebound damping have primitive designs that have "spiking" issues i.e. very harsh on high-speed hits

haha actually my question is how many amps is needed to start this small 1.5L engine. that's all i need to know, i can deal w/ cell selection myself

think honda jazz engine, or hyundai accent

the objective is to use as few cells as possible

as mentioned earlier these are FAKE tp4056 chips. accuracy is a lot worse than i expected, they range from 4.11 to 4.25. totally unacceptable  so i'll be ordering these TP5100 modules. the 2A charging current should be a big plus. switchmode so cooler running. google doesn't turn up anything f...

Re: High cells count vs low cell count.

a high number of interconnects isn't inherently less safe. actually this is something that is easy to get right  however a lot of things can and do go wrong w/ poorly designed 18650 packs. the metal can itself is one huge negative terminal covered by super thin PVC. have just a little chafing ...

good thing i checked the datasheet before pulling the trigger on the B0505. the output current is too low

so i went ahead w/ Plan A. so far so good. this thing is definitely gonna work

6-channel independent charger / pseudo-balancer

http://i.imgur.com/B7gI0SG.jpg since these cells are a bit older i'm expecting to do a bit more balancing on them. the objective is to be able to simply plug in this gadget into the group that needs balancing. since each channel is independent it'll simply charge its channel up to 4.20v and stop. t...

Re: Old salvaged Panasonic NCR18650 still performing like ne

i know right! these cells are really ageing well. btw panasonic NCR is NCA chemistry, while CGR is NMC

NCA has been touted to have superior calendar life. these cells definitely prove it

i've got NMC Samsung 26F that have deteriorated quite a bit by just sitting there idle

Re: Lost BBSHD Crank arm bolt-Alternatives

When you first install square-taper cranks make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and free of grease - wash them with detergent or metho if you like and rub them dry. Then carry a suitable ring spanner with you and tighten them every few km as they settle in. Especially the LHS one which - fo...

Re: DD Hub as a mid drive motor pros and cons?

Nice discussion. Maybe it will lead to getting electric motors out of the frame and where they belong, which ideally is centered in the pivot point but anchored to the swingarm. Why tolerate the negative effects of having a motor act directly on the suspension, which is the inevitable result of anc...

Re: Getting the best chainline with the bbshd

I'd just grind in some serrations or use a threadlocker. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=217315 tried doing that but the splines on the freehub body don't go all the way to the edge. the whole cassette stack has to extend past the edge in order to be cinched by the lockring
