Re: bluetooth BMS?

first to mind would be IRFB4115 capable of 150V, but resistance is very high (~10mOhm) would the IPP048N12N3G be a better alternative? Re: bluetooth BMS?

The 120A verson of the bms i habe here has like 30 mosfets on them. But it simply makes me sleep better if i know the power stage is good. Virtually all power stages of any bms discusses here has utter crap mosfets. If you can simply replace them for 30 bucks, use half the amount of mosfets and make...

i am looking for a mosfet that can do more then 75v. my next battery is ~115v charged.
and takers for a solid mosfet choice for these voltages?

The mosfets are HY3410's which are really low grade...100 mOhm, 17 amp...meh. I'll be replacing them with something better.
With what mosfet would you replace them? I got 3 bms here with shitty mosfets.

Re: C Rating of 18650 cells in my project? Advice please.

dont worry, the packs will balance eachother out depending on current draw. it is a fact the new pack will push more power but the current is still about half as when you have only 1 pack so people need to stop complaining. spreading the load over 2 packs like this does wonders for the wear of the c...

Re: C Rating of 18650 cells in my project? Advice please.

Panasonic NCR18650PF 2900mAh 10A discharge but here is the real kicker: they are ~2 euro a piece in bulk from nkon. price per watt is almost unbeatable. yes, a proper board with a current shunt can measure 300A, but gettin a board that can do 92S is a different story. personally i would simply use 3...

Re: C Rating of 18650 cells in my project? Advice please.

i would recommend using PF cells. they have a higher current rating and can deal with more abuse. they have a bit lower capacity at 2.9Ah wich makes for 90Ah in your planned new battery and a continous discharge rating of 310A without breaking spec. also: PF cells are MUCH cheaper. what are you goin...

manually charge the low cells up to 4.2 and match them with the rest. charge slowly (under 1A) directly tru the balance wires.

not to be "that guy", but you are spending quite a bit of money on this endeavour. why not spend another 100 bucks for a proper spot welder and a roll of nickel strip and do it proper? also it makes the pack a lot flatter and more robust. also: you need 6AWG for proper connections with these amount...

large orders is relative, i believed i did large orders until i saw their warehouse.
me walking in like a boss for ordering 700 cells and at the same time see a guy walking out the side with a electric pallet jack moving quite a litteral ton of cells into a small truck. :?

Re: 96v charger.

that is a generic aliexpress charger. all the caps in the output stage need to be upgraded as some resistors that allow the pots to have the voltage range changed. might be cheaper or at least simpler to just get a second charger and dial the voltage down and put them in series in order to get the 9...

there are basically only 2 shipping companies in europe that are willing to ship large volumes of cells and they know it. prices are almost criminally high and considering there is no competition you are basically SOL. nkon is dependant on these companies to ship overseas (they get them by the litte...

bin it. com port on the controller chip is fried. probably blew the ADC's as well so the voltage readouts are garbage anyway.

shit happens, i blew up about 900 european roupies worth of electronics the past years just by doing stupid for a second. :(

Re: Mid drive vs Hub Motor for 10000 watt project

amps are basically the same across the board for battery and phase amps. but even that beefy motor will not survive 300A and then 100A continuous. you will fry the coils or demagniteze it well before you kill the controller.

this measures 8 to 80 volts, tells you everything you want to know on the screen. I use it on my 110 ah lifepo4. that trick does not work with hub motors with the tire directly on it. Of course one or more of my methods work on motors with integrated rims. I've done it lots of times. I'd recommend the sticky weights method though, as adding weight at the disc brake bolts is more time consuming. I've pretty mu...
