Re: Pack Voltage Reduction To Run a Light

I try to buy lights that are multi voltage meaning they work from say 6 to 80 volts. AliExpress and Banggood are my main sources.

Re: Domino throttle

I had this same problem. I put a 100ohm trim pot ( adjustable potentiometer) to lower the input voltage a little to keep it from cutting out the controller at full throttle. I’ll look for them I bought 10. They are so cheap so I bought 10.

Re: Custom built, self made ebike frame project

Jordam.1 Your welds look very good. I was just looking for an update, thanks. Might you have any design file you’d share? Just as a starting point for geymotery layout etc. not to copy. Side view with swingarm would be ideal. Maybe I’ll try a steel tube version. Aluminum I get costs $5 per lb vs $1 ...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Progrock

On a second look. To me it looks like the angle bends are over bent to me if that’s a term. Or the extra length the bends take up was not calculated correctly. It must work if it’s sold with the kit you would think. Might need some strategic hammer blows or vise work to correct the angles.

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Progrock It looks like the bends are not perfect with the motor mount bracket, shown on the left side in your photo. Was probably bent by someone inserting the bracket into a brake of sorts. Perfection would only come from an automated process which was probably not used to keep costs down, understa...

Re: All new high power bike and frame for sale---SEKIBIKES

I’ve had my eye on this frame. Don’t really like that one where it looks like to much steel is removed from the swingarm. I do like the raw steel one pictured in old posts from them. Thinking of a cyclone with this. At this price minor hacking and welding to suit ones needs doesn’t feel so bad. Real...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

I went for the mid range $80 from sbp, with no complaints. I kept the trashed stock one to show someone if they argue the fact that it’s worth it to upgrade. I 3d printed a cover for the crank freewheel also, mentioned in previous posts, with pictures. Still have the stock motor one though. One inci...

That 90 tooth from cyclone-tw.com has me curious. Not using a front derailleur with that. Anyone know what that would be used for. Insane high speed perhaps.

Re: 72V bottle mount battery

One question. Are you in need of a one plug, bms type of battery as opposed to the rc LiPo using a charger with a balance plug? The rc type would be several batteries connected together in series to add their voltage. You do have to separate them and charge individually. You may know this, it is one...

Re: My version of Friction Bike.

Hey My sandpaper wore through rather quickly. Then I just went directly to the metal exterior of the motor. Took the paint off to bare metal where the tire is. I could feel a recess with my finger indicating metal was being worn away. Maybe to much pressure from motor to tire. Friction drive, easy t...

Re: Custom built, self made ebike frame project

Got to love a kebob place down the down the street to toss your frame into for a quick heat treat. Best part of the story. If you round over the edges don’t go to far as the crisp edges define its minimalism, that I like. Please keep up the good work when you have the time. Will the swingarm fit a 2...

Probgrock On suspension seatposts, I’ve had good luck with the zoom seatposts from AliExpress. Shipped about $30. They offer your size. Re: The ebike parts designing thread with CAD/CAM

My idea of a 3d printed battery holder. Ok it’s for 6 multistars that are often used for ebikes, not shown. Software is called via cad pro. Around 15 separate parts to get the batteries onto and into the bike frame. Tevo little monster delta style printer, 340x500mm print size! Yum yum.

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Gman1971 Nice. Are you drifting there? Prob not. Just enough blur to the picture to make it look that way. Do you pedal sometimes or mostly always? You have front suspension right, which would help with leaning into corners and normal road bumps, alowing for higher speeds. Does the rear tire ever br...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

On the subject of suspension forks. I've been thinking of these I think they could work with some custom triple tree brackets. They seem a little on the long side but I'd be using a 27.5 inch tire or the 21 inch Moto tire rim combo. I do occasionally spend to just try something out which is risky bu...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Robocam I forgot the shunt mod was an option also to get more out of the cyclone. I have a feeling I am confusing the cyclone with with the other mid drive in 02 and hd versions. Besides a temperature sensor added to the cyclone motor how would you know if it has overheated? When the motor stops and...
