Dsullivan,
Love how you are maximizing your watt-hr consumption. Great job ebike evangelizing! Also sounds like very soon you will have to change your online titles to wazafatmancommuter... :P Nevertheless good to see the ebike gospel spread,

Sam Whittingham 2008 World's Fastest Bicycle 82.33 mph! Well not that fast of course! But not too shabby on long distance records. He got his recumbent used from one of the four relay guys who set the 2004 RAM relay record across crossing the US in under 5 days 8 hours :!: That was w/o motor. The m...

Re: Now this is a recumbant bike!

Wow, nice links Thud! Hadn't heard of or seen Zockra recumbents before. Kind of racing meets artforms - something the French would appreciate. My brother has the carbon Lightning R84 recumbent, but not as artsy as this. I'm not a fan of the tiller steering, and the Lightning is more upright or day t...

Re: EbikeE and BMC for Efficiency

I read that a good rider on a recumbent beat four probably better riders in a peleton. So perhaps a recumbent is comparable to the efficiency of a peleton. How about recumbent record for LA to NY in 5 days ? 8) Put a fairing on that and break that record  Linky: http://www.lightningbikes.c...

Since the last full charge came in around 41.9 I am very happy now. You have the right attitude (Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe: "Don't Panic") :o These details come up. That is over the top cool 8) and major artwork ! Drill has two speeds as well! That's the Bosch 36V drill with 2Ahr LiMn fatpacks. Those fatpacks are recognized by many on ES as reliable batteries. Wonder what gearing ? The user built trike and the phenomenal woodwork on that bike is a museum stando...

John you're absolutely right, all regen is of interest! Both kinetic and gravitational E recapture. 40mph speeds give energy to be recaptured by braking as Justin's kinetic graph showed http://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=19883 Justin's Regen thread (2008 no less!) http://endless-s...

I should be able to submerge the complete controller into a slightly larger case filled with ATF oil.
Interesting article on Tomshardware. Can't wait to see the outcome for your controller.
Sidenote: how about lacing up a 16-20" (or equiv metric) wheel?

The dual motors will give you enough power to throw out a bungee to your slower fellow ebike rider and slingshot them to infinity and beyond... Heck you might have to throw one out to motorcyclists as well!
