Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

It's on a plaque, on the left side of the head tube. I'm not sure that's the case any more. I know it was on the older models, but I think the new one's might have it internal to the frame now. After my Fighter came back from Stealth recently it had a new serial # stamped to a brace on the inside o...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Ok, I did some more testing today. I discovered that although I thought I had set 150% speed for mode 3 previously, it hadn't actually saved. So the 46kph I was seeing was based of the value it had before which was 124%...no idea why it was set to that btw. Anyway, I tried setting 130% and 45A FW an...

Re: Nyx frame, 273mm*40m V3 hub, and 650A

I'll echo what Merlin said...ES was thriving up to a few years back...seems to have been a gradual decline since 2015/16. I don't think it's all ES fault though...since 2015/16 many other mediums have taken off such as twitter, instagram, facebook pages (even the ES facebook page), reddit, etc. and ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Yeah, 30A is where it's at, but it's 30A continuous in order to push it to just 46kph in my case...hardly worth it IMO.

Adam, so does your belt drive make 55kph? What voltage is your battery?

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

it IS exactly 10kph when you switch from 14/100 to 12/100 Well there you go! That explains it...and I'm ok with it if that's the entire explanation... However, Adam mentioned to me via email that " With the belt you should still be able to hit 55kph in mode 3 ", so this is where my confusion comes ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Maybe the larger rear sprocket is the reason why the belt works, is quieter, and wont slip or fail??? Do you notice any increase in off the line acceleration and hill climbing performance? Yes, yes and yes, but...I don't think I should be seeing a drop of over 10kph in speed from 50kph+ to 40kph. I...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I was thinking about making my next battery but after watching all the work you have to do CD, it makes me feel a lot better about just buying a battery. Yeah, it's a lot of work. People often baulk at the prices I quote, but they don't realise I'm actually paying myself bugger all for the time it ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

From where do others in Australia source batteries? Doesn't seem easy nor cost effective. Correct, which is why I can build one for you instead: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=101045 Nobody ever guessed it before but I'm currently building this 20S12P pack for a Hurricane: DSC_59...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Nice one Adam, thanks for the update. I haven't been able to ride my 64 much lately :( and I still haven't figured out why it's slower since the belt kit install. Is it possible you sent me a larger rear sprocket than standard? Can anyone post a photo of their Nucular motor config page for me to com...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Hey CD, you may be building some batteries for the LMX DIY crowd in the future. Yeah, there might already be some in the works ;) I also want to see if I can figure out a way to get 1Kwh in there. After my ride with Brianv99 the other day he was making some very good suggestions for how it might be...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Nice one Simon! I gotta say, the blue looks awesome...but I would :P Did yours come with a front chain-ring or did you put one on already? So much for waiting for the belt before diving in, but I get it, it's just too hard to wait sometimes. The hard part is going to be waiting to ride it while you ...

Re: High Power LiPo harness - 4x parralell XT90, HXT4mm, 5.5mm -

If anyone is still in need of these harnesses I still have a box full of pre-made harnesses and equipment to make more. :) While I prefer 18650's and 21700's these days they are not always the answer for everyone. LiPo still has the best energy density and is still cheaper to make high capacity pack...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Can't help you with the dropper Simon, but I will say that my Brand-X ASCEND II 125mm Dropper has more than enough travel for me. I am about 170cm tall and with the seat-post clamped as low as is possible with the rear shock, I rarely lower it completely and never need the full height either. An upd...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Sounds like a BMS reset issue to me...another reason I hate battery murdering systems and rarely build them into the packs I make and sell. You might be able to confirm it's the BMS by taking the battery off the bike and checking the main terminal voltage using a multimeter when the issue next occur...

Better late than never! Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

So I finally finished the rebuild of my Fighter and finally finished putting together all the footage for you all to witness. The editing took almost as long as the rebuild dealing with all that time-lapse as it crippled my PC to work on.  Enjoy! 2NDmzOMx-QI I have a few more things to t...

Look forward to hearing how it goes CD I just ordered mine frame kit I'm pleased to report it went well! I'll be following up with a few video's...when I find time to edit them, but overall it's gone really well. The belt is about 10db quieter as measured, which is the same as Adam's findings and h...

Why not 14p?
I offered, but I think 12p was enough for this guy.

Is there any pictures of the cell layout and dimensions of that pack Alex? I'm fairly sure I know how you did it, as I did similar on my Fighter, but not quite sure how you got the length.

Whats the numbers for this battery?
It's 20S12P. 3Kwh.
Should be good for over 100km range on the particular Stealth variant it's going in. Any guesses?

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Do you have the 14t on right now? Yeah I do...I didn't realise how much of a difference it makes. I guess the belt drive for me will be solving two problems at once then if it's a 12T equivalent. :D Those 120t sprockets sound good for me also...I live in/near the Australian alps so do similar sort ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

as much nice as a left-side-drive is. the downside is you cant change gears to help the motor staying cool(er) if you was on 14T front, switch to 12T. difference in climibing should be very noticeable. Well I'll be switching to the belt drive once that arrives...think it's equivalent of 14T though....

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks Adam. Outside temp was around 37C so pretty hot. I haven't changed the Nucular config and the max motor temp is still set to 135C. The motor did start to cut out at around 135C as mentioned, but I guess the thermal inertia kept it going up to 160C. Either that or the temperature sensor isn't ...
