Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Com'on dude,, put the frame on a bike stand n get building :) Yeah, I really want to get stuck into it, but holding back till I have more parts and time...right now I definitely don't have the time and I hate leaving projects in limbo for extended periods. I'll get stuck into it in a month or two p...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks Dirty-Kurty! Much appreciated. I feel like it's virtually impossible to know for sure if it will fit, so I just went ahead and ordered this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33037979381.html? https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1QhMUb75E3KVjSZFCq6zuzXXac.jpg Hopefully it fits well enough...it lo...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Two separate emails and 3 phone calls with no response. Can you confirm his place is in business anymore? I may just bite the bullet and purchase a new pack from Stealth. The time I've spent running down leads, would have easily paid for the difference if I was working, instead. https://www.hicbatt...

Re: Old unknown Ebike - Restoration/Upgrade

Was that a brushed motor on the stock motor? You should fix up the junk you hoard and sell it. Stock motor was just a geared '200W' brushless, but with a drum brake on the side and and extra wide axle. I couldn't find a suitable replacement which is why I switched it out and jerry rigged the disc b...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

This is loosely related to the Futr frames so I'll through it up here. Here is the battery balancing solution I've used on both the Chrome Alpha I sold and the Beta battery just recently made if anyone here is interested: uS_JNBNQhHQ And for now at least, that's me out of the Futr game...now onto my...

Thanks Lee.

It's not exactly related, but here is the final video relating to this battery covering the balancing solution I like to use.

Re: Old unknown Ebike - Restoration/Upgrade

Hey wow, been a while. I burnt out the original geared motor from this bike back in September 2016. I then tried to get it running again with some way oversized spare HS35 and HS40xx motor's I had, but that just nearly destroyed the dropouts and was never going to work. So very slowly over t...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

I got a Jumbo-Pack from Em3ev and it doesn't fit well, but it fits. I shorted the wire and put the xt90 connector under the motor, (where the controller is). But i still need 1 more centimeter to use lock it with the key. I will make some photos later to make it understandable. Ps: sorry for my bad...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Actually looking at this some more, the mounting bracket on LMX website for their battery doesn't match any of the options I posted above. https://lmxbikes.com/en/drivetrain/189-batterie-52v-pour-lmx64.html https://lmxbikes.com/363-large_default/batterie-52v-pour-lmx64.jpg Looking around a bit more ...

Sorry for the spam guy's...I'm off work today so have some time to kill... Looking into the battery options for my LMX 64 now and I'm getting confused about what might work. Re: HUGE EMPTY Downtube/Craddle Battery Box with Keylock

Hi Metador, what did you end up doing with this. Did that layout work out for you in the end?

I'm thinking of similar but don't need BMS or voltage indicator. What do you think could fit without those?

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Yeah, the only reason I can see it making sense to get me to build a pack to have shipped overseas is if you want maximum capacity. I haven't seen anyone else apart from Alex and another guy in Spain building these custom like I do, so if anyone outside Australia wants maximum capacity and isn't wor...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

From the owners manual..."Change the chain and sprocket every 1500km or 2 years off-road."

Really? That frequently? Does the sprocket size make a difference?

What kind of difference in top speed is seen with the 12T vs the 14T sprocket on the LMX 64 at 52V?

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

It cannot be done on an lmx as it is direct drive from frame to swingarm. As the swingarm alters position the belt will get slacker n tighter, a belt needs constant tension. Belt can be used on Surron as it has a reduction 'jack shaft' and the belt drive section does not change tension. https://img...

Would that make a big difference?

[AUSTRALIA] Custom made 18650/21700 Batteries

Hi all, I guess I better make it official since I've done a bunch of these already. Below you can see a few of the custom made packs I've made so far. Here is the one I build for an FUTR Alpha earlier this year: UeBk4JxM3rw This gave the bike up to 200km range! Here is a series on building a...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

did someone say mega range bomber?!?!? how long? I would have to look at the dimensions to get it exact, but I reckon I could fit about the same as I did for the Chrome Alpha I built. That was 3.25Kwh. At economical speeds and terrain that would get you about 200km. At full throttle you would still...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks for the suggestion Brian. Just ordered a small two pack of it to try out.

Also thanks jbalat for the mudhugger suggestion. That seems like a good option and should fit in nicely with the existing short guard. I might order one of those also. :)
