Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

My LMX 64 has finally met it's match! I will have to make a video of it, but I tried riding it up a local hill I had never considered rideable...and I guess it still isn't. I'm talking over 30 degree's steep with many large, loose rocks. I can barely walk up it, so it's not exactly a fair test, but ...

Great to see the LMX 64on the latest addition of Embn
Yeah, about time too. I've been telling those guy's to ride a 64 for months now.

Jump to 4min for the LMX part.

I also sent in some photo's of my LMX, but I think I did it the wrong way...will try again.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

No, no, you will have a spare belt so you need to test out where the limit of the belt is! Just increase the phase amps until the belt looses its teeth or breaks so other owners know how far they can dial up the amps...  Well you make a good point....maybe I will try up to 200A, ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Finally got my Fighter (mostly) back together and first ride was to check out a massive fire heading my way as Australia burns. Sorry for the crappy quality photo/video...it was smokey and super windy up there! DSC_0001.JPG The right hand side is the sunset...the middle/left is the fire. DSC_0003.JP...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks Adam...forgot you already mentioned that. And thanks for the spare belt! I think I will drop it down to 175A (from 190 currently) and see how it goes. I really like my mode 3 being able to lift the front wheel so we will see how I go. Cheers p.s. for those watching I did pay ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Looking great.

Question about torque through it...what was the max phase amps you tested it with and how much above it would you think is ok?
Not looking for a guarantee, just don't want to snap my belt straight away. :P

Thanks for the update Adam.

Looking forward to riding without cringing at the noise or having to back off when approaching people from behind so as to not scare them.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Looking great Adam! Thanks for sharing. I've never had a belt driven anything before so this is exiting. :) What do you do if it slips off during riding? Is it easy enough to push the tensioner and put back on? Also, is it worth carrying a spare belt in case of failure? This might be especially usef...

Hi guys, Took the LMX out for some decent tough stuff the other day, here are some pics from the top: DSC_5834.JPG DSC_5836.JPG DSC_5837.JPG DSC_5838.JPG Yes, that's smoke you can see from half of Australia burning atm...you can also see a new wall of smoke blowing in above. You buying a bomber then too
With a Fighter that does 6KW, can go 85kph (with overspeed), only weighs 35Kg, has 7 pedalling gears and has 200km+ range...why would I want a heavier, slower, lower range Bomber. :P

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

After building and enjoying my LMX 64 for a while now it's finally time I focus on rebuilding my Fighter. All the parts are now ready and I've carbon wrapped my side panels and rear mud guard also. Thanks! Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Any more news on the belt testing? Do you think any of us can help beta test soon? I finally got an ok 3D print of the battery covers. Sounding promising Adam. Let me know when your ready for me to do some beta testing. :) But it looks like the bolt of your rear shock is missing or is that just my imagination?: This is normal, but I agree it doesn't look great. Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks for the comparison Adam. The app I used on my phone must be way out as I typically only measured 79-80 db peak, 75-77 db sustained from my chain. Grantmac, your not wrong, that is a sizable difference. I went to try and figure out how much in percentage, but got baffled by the mathematics req...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

All that makes sense. Thanks for explaining Adam. I like 200A because it's just enough to power wheelie. I'm still only running 50A battery so it tapers off pretty quick and I haven't been able to overheat anything in normal riding yet. Apart from the belt maybe breaking and a bit of extra heat, is ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks for the update Adam.

I'll put my hand up to test. I like to run my mode 3 with 200 phase amps, so we'll see if it can handle that!

It looks like there is a lot of slack in the belt. Would it make sense to use a slightly shorter belt?

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks Adam. The belt 'sounds' promising, although there is still a surprising amount of noise in your quick demo. It almost sounds like your motor isn't operating in FOC mode? As a comparison, could you do a measure of the decibel output near the front sprocket. I saw peaks of 79-80DB with the chai...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

I still haven't done a big, planned ride, but jumping on and doing a quick spur of the moment ride seems to be what the LMX 64 is built for. You could use Dynamat. It reduces vibrations dramatically so would reduce the noise produced by the enclosure.
Check back a few pages...I already tried this with no change.
It might make a small difference between the motor/frame, but I doubt it would do much.

Thanks for this!
I installed the new update and now my brake activates mode 3. I can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

Any idea's?
