Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

I also have the 18fet controller i ran previously. I can take the time to change it's connectors to match my current setup and try it to see if its the controller or the motor.

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

surely if a fet was burnt the controller wouldnt run? ill open the controller. i have run 100v on a 4110 controller for the last couple years; i know there are risks but it does "work" BA. if it's just a fet it will take me five mins to replace. also the phase to + batt to phase all come in arround ...

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

Ok. Im at my wits end. Any ideas would be helpful. So the bike was working. I took it out and rode it for about 40 mins, on the way home i experienced a weird grinding noise and a top speed reduction. The motor will spin up, it will even push me, but there is a vibration there now that wasn`t there ...

Re: Dual motor

Depending on you ultimate power level in the rear wheel your money would probably be better spent on a single controller and a single motor that can do what you want. The rear motor is trying to lift the front end of the bike when you apply power, and at high power levels of 5kw and up, wheelies bec...

Well after chasing down EVERYTHING else, I think my bearings are just screwed. I'll take a quick walk to the bearing store tomorrow morning before work and hopefully I can ride to work :)

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

I'm actually on a 5304 right now. I have my 5403 on my red norco, but it's still in construction. My dual HS60 never materialized past early machining stages, although at some point I plan to rekindle that project. I'd already have started if I could get a hold of my old college teacher that has my ...

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

Strapped everything down and did a trial run down to about 60% battery. It was fun, even at 5kw; maxed it around 90km/h. I need to get my torque arm solution made up; i have one of docs torque arms on the bike, and it has huge dropouts so it can be used as I have no regen yet (controller is set for ...

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

First test run today, great success :) On stock 50 amps battery i hit 80 km/h pretty quick. Now to turn it up to 150 :). Also, I am wondering if I could have burnt out the current measuring part of my CA. Basically my controller should have a shunt value between .6 and .7 mohm. Setting it to these o...

Bike ran today, if only briefly for the sake of hall verification. CA powers up and measures voltage but nothing else so far... gonna have to redo the wiring i suspect.

Get the real deal. It seems expensive but the quality of the crimp and the ease of using it is worth it. I have used many different crimpers and the genuine ratcheting powerpole one is truly worth it imho.

Did some wiring work today. Mounted the controller. I need to get my handlebar riser before I can start permanently finishing components. But the thing is going to come together fast; I need to figure out how im going to externalise the balancing wires. I guess db28 connector is easiest, just need t...

Got the weight clamps today. Sadly I am worried they are too large. They are clearly larger then the ones Oatnet used, and I know his were all ready restricting the turning radius of his bike. I may or may not be able to come up with a solution once I get the forks too see about the clearance.

Got the pelican 1200 today. It DOES fit 24s3p of 20c 5ah lipo. Even when i looked at it it didn't look like it would fit 12 bricks but it does :). I can really see this whole thing coming together. Just need the shocks to really start building.

That's far from the only problem with that bike. He needs to start over with a real bike instead of a toy. Putting that kind of e-power on a department store dungheap is like strapping jet engines onto a Trabant and taking it to Bonneville. Nothing good can come of it. I wasn't going to be that blu...

Re: Monzilla

With the amount you have spent on your ride Floont, please look through Pinkbike.com for some real shocks. Those RST's are total crap and with that much weight/speed and those large diameter disk brakes I would be worried about them breaking under a hard stop. For under 200 you can find yourself a t...

Re: 9c/HS35/X5 Norco 125 DJ 100v project

Ok, so all the batts balanced properly, I'll watch them for self discharge and then run a few cycles with discharge curves from my hyperion and match them by capacity. I think I've finally finished most of the part ordering. Shocks, Pelican box, front rim, controller, running lights, contactor, and ...
