I'd appreciate comments on this design before I put it together as my first battery project. (Basically 56 18650 cells in 7s8p config for 24V.)
Since I'm using harvested cells from old laptops I'm planning to use 7s10p and have ordered MPT-7210A charge controller, and 9A 300W Buck Converter for non-fridge loads. I don't envisage running a 240V inverter and I'd be happy with a 30A fuse (or maybe this design specifies 20A). Charge sources are a 120W solar panel (or whatever in future) and vehicle alternator.
Specific concerns are:

Specific concerns are:
- nickel strip
- battery BMS (described as shunt in original post)
- wrapping
- easiest way of spot welding
- future flexibility
- any other considerations
