Up in Flames: E+ Really Really Gone

Ignominious end to a once promising e-bike maker. Sad, disgraceful and
upsetting. The Tidalforce Google group (where I'm a moderator) seems
to be the only one following/breaking this story, which is a big one
for the e-bike community, so I thought I should post it here to get
further coverage/awareness. I'd also encourage any E+ owners or dealers
to contribute any knowledge they might have and are comfortable
sharing re this whole mess since EMS/E+ appears incommunicado at this
point, and I doubt we'll hear from them again. Ambrose L reports just
today that their website's been disabled.


PLEASE NOTE: If anyone out there is running BatterySpace-sourced lipoly packs,
be aware that they've been implicated in several fires to date on the E+
bikes, where they were offered as aux packs. And now it appears they may
have been responsible for an E+ So Florida dealership burning to the ground.

I couldnt agree more that the battery space packs are little time delay firebombs, however, neither of those links worked for me.

Yup, sucks! Another one bites the dust. I subscribed to their newsletter & the last one I received was for their Christmas/holiday blow-out sale. What was that sale really??? The End.

How do I know this? Well, E+ sent out this rotating "sale" & product newsletter every 1-2 weeks. This stopped cold on December 16, 2011.

Obviously, this was The End way back then... just some further sales of inventory that went unadvertised... then...
