Oh man that reminds me, I once built an 1100V 1 A power supply for a
shortwave transmitter (using vacuum tubes). 50 % of the time when you
plugged it in the circuit breaker would trip. Pressing the morse key (I knew
morse code by ear) would dim the lights in the room and shut down
the fan on my computer. I remember once a neighbour showing up
telling me he had funny noises on his radio and did it have something to
do with the antenna in the garden
