is a hackerspace in Somerville MA, just north of Boston. I took a four week course there in machining, was a great learning experience on a Bridgeport Mill and [can't recall the name] lathe, real professional grade equipment. I will definitely take their welding class when I get the time...
These people are outstanding, the Asylum has had to double its shop space every 12-18 months because they're growing so fast. If you're in the Boston area and need a workshop, this place is definitely worth a look.
