I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this hub
http://www.amazon.com/1000w-Wheel-Elect ... 938&sr=1-1

It looks to me like a goldenmotor prokit 901 shown here:

They are selling it for $289. And I was thinking of buying this kit for my wife.
Also what about prokit 901. Are those any good?

The seller charges $65 shipping. You can get a similar-looking motor for a few dollars less and with free shipping (assuming you live in the US, lower 48 states) from eBay here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/48V1000W-26-Rear-Wheel-Electric-Bicycle-Motor-Kit-E-Bike-Cycling-Hub-Conversion-/160800204441

Read wesnewell 's posts here for more info about this motor. I don't own one--would've bought one but the eBay seller won't ship to my location (I was willing to pay for shipping).

Looks like that Amazon seller sells all kinds of stuff. Just like apluschoice or yescomusa, the eBay seller.

Good reports about that kit from ebay. If price is the object, hard to beat that one.
THE LIPO RULES. NEVER ABOVE 4.3V NEVER BELOW 2.7V DON'T PUNCTURE

Ideal charging /discharging range for Lipo, 3.65v minimum 4.1v maximum

See battery technology section, FAQ thread at the top of the page for lipo noob info.

That looks like the same kit from yescomusa (currently showing out of stock). I own the 1000W rear. The battery bag was cheaply built, but okay for a few months as I used it. The rear rack is made of softer metal than my current rack (as this one was not compatible with my trike) but seems plenty sturdy. Aside from that I love it, I posted my experience with it here: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewto ... 99#p591699
