Anyone know what happened to Lowracer

Anyone know what happened to Lowracer

Postby NeilP » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:35 am

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Loweacer in a while or maybe has a direct e mail for him

He made his own axles using a Keyway slot instead of splines, over a year ago and I would like to find out how they held out. I sent him a PM more than a week back and it is still in the outbox

Thanks

To illustrate the vain conceit that the universe must be somehow pre-ordained for us, because we are so well-suited to live in it, he mimed a wonderfully funny imitation of a puddle of water, fitting itself snugly into a depression in the ground, the depression uncannily being exactly the same shape as the puddle."

You might also try via his youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/user/ChrisLuxembourg
or his website "chrisy.crazy.lu"
http://www.zap.lu/de/i2803113
which has his email address in one of the images partway down. (actually I think that same image is at the start of all his YT vids).

Lowracer doesn't hang out. He spends his time working on awesome stuff, and then comes and shares with us when he's good and ready. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next next. It wasn't all that long ago that he was here showing his X54xx exploits, so he's not overdo.

Unwanted to find out how his Keyway he machined into his 53xx axle survived, as I am consideting my options with regard to my axle

He did a keywayba few years back

His YouTube channel shows his account is now closed, and he does not answer e- mail either
Hope he is OK

And i just checked, and all of his vids on ES are of course now gone because he closed the account. :(

His website is still up, but I dunno for how long, so if anyone wants any info from it, they ought to go save it now.

i am sure he is ok, youtube channels down shut themselves down by their own, he is either busy and doesnt want to be bothered or someone has pissed him off and he wants out for a while, i had a break from it myself a few years back too.

How would they shut down on their own? It couldn't be by a time-out, because mine wasnt' posted to or even logged into for years, and never did that. Does YT just randomly shut down sites saying that the user closed it?

Read "don't" for "down", I think.

ha ha thanks Miles my HP touchpad to blame there :P and no youtube channels dont shut down by themselves, the only possible way would be if the user was continually posting material that breached youtubes terms and conditions, I had one very popular KMX video that had over 250 thousand hits, I pulled that because I got an automatic audioswap as I was using copyrighted audio material, it kind of pissed me off so i pulled all the videos, esp as youtube were covering that videos with advertising too.

Its a great hobby this.. just great but its so full on it only takes a project to go wrong or a troll to wind you up in a post and its enough to make you want to go and do something else for a while, I dont think we have had any members yet that are no longer with us :? not to my knowledge anyway.

Yay! I was looking for some info on his leaning mechanism. Thanks
New to endless-sphere? Notice a lot of signatures recommending Ebike.ca? That's because it's the best place for a quality and manageable, (but still 'real'), first build. Justin is a solid supporter of electric bike development, and a good source of equipment.

My hat off a thousand times to the green people that effectively run this forum. The ES Mods are superb.
