New use for a hub motor

An electric version of this with a hub motor sounds fun.

There is one that's electric, but it pulls you around, which seems better to me. With a motorized wheel in bad it's pretty likely that if you go down, you own motor runs over you, and on skates the odds of going down are pretty much 1. He makes it look kinda fun though, but lots of things are fun until....

If god had meant Texans to ski,,,, we say here. Amazing what you'll think of in a place with no hills at all. Looks like a snow version would be fun.

I used to just ski jor with dogs and rollerblades on concrete. That works good too.

Looks more comfortable than my bicycle seat. Brand name idea: "Swift Kick". :)

Definitely potential as a hubbie. Have a quick-disconnect link to the wrist to prevent runaway. Could envision as both front or rear drive, also for snow, probably as a rear track. Very interesting indeed! Thanks for sharing. :)

Interesting, but a little scary w/ ICE motor.

Having it behind you makes sense to me - in front of you it'd have less traction and you couldn't lean on it to improve it.

What about a big skateboard with hub motors
What about those shoes with the wheels at the heel... motorized
What about a jaw motor so you don't have to chew food with effort
What about a motorized towel so you can dry off faster after a shower
What about motorized chairs in restaurants so you can go to the buffet without walking
what about a hub motor powered bandsaw so when you're in the woods biking you can do woodworking too
What about a motorized bed so you can drive to work without even getting up

what about it man???!?

Son of a gun!

I have been toying with a hubmotor design for something like this for a year or so...

love this iteration :) even if a gas powered one.

with the designs I have been toying with was looking at having a foldable cross bar , to push against mid thigh, with the controller coming up between the legs

Twist grip throttle on a single shaft... hmmm

multiple use concept..

Pusher trailer

No rope "t-bar" ski tow (with roller blades/skates)

Use a bit like an oar for skate board

Use in front to drag (like water ski), behind to push

Even have a name... "the Broom"

But this ... seeing this example... both pissed off (cos I didn't get there first) and pleased, cos there we have POC

Awesome.
