moving...ebike crating

Howdy All~
I'm moving cross country and needing to crate up three ebikes. What I'm looking for specifically, are boxes that are made for mtb rear-hub wheels w/motors. (they have styrofoam packing dealies). Can handle the rest...but just don't want those wires to get crushed, etc. Any leads??? Thanks, as ever.... Dan

I would suggest taking the motors off the bikes and packing them separately. That way, you avoid packing up large bikes and hoping that they survive the trip. You can overpack the motors much easier than overpacking the entire bike.

I think that's what he's saying, he needs the motor boxes.

Where are you at?

Hi... I'm north of San Fransisco about 70 miles. Calistoga. Found ONE wheelbox. Two to go. I guess it seems silly to mail an empty box...need to find ebike source nearby. Yeow.

Go to auto collision shops. Get big cardboard boxes used for hoods, doors, etc. With some imagination and tape you can fold boxes to make them smaller to fit what you want to pack up.
