Hi members
This is for an old Super Socket 7 computer I am trying to tweak to the max for quite a while now.
Today I found out that the tag ram chip is 8ns and this will explain why beyond 115mhz FSB is unstable but 120mhz is stable if you turn off the cache in the BIOS.
In this picture you can see that the cache chip is 5ns but the tag ram is 8ns
Can any one help me to find a compatible chip so that I can replace it with hopefully a 6ns one?
The Winbond chip is the Tag Ram chip and the UMC chip is the Cache.
