Where does everyone buy their connectors/wiring?

Specifically the XT90s. I would prefer to find a supplier of, if not necessarily "original manufaacturer", decent quality connectors. While Hobbyking has a decent variety listed for a great price most of what I require are either backordered or just "out of stock". Anyone have a preferred Ali vendor? eBay? Amazon? I am rather shocked to see so many preterminated 90 amp rated connectors available with 14AWG wire! There is cutting corners and then there is just playing with fire. Which reminds me, need to look up inline fuses as well.

Also would anyone happen to know what diameter heat shrink is appropriate for making up series and parallel XT90 (the type you butt-solder together). I have never had to use anything that large before. 30mm perhaps? Would like to order everything at once. Thank you.

I can't help with the XT90s, but if you don't mind a larger connector format, I find heavy-gauge (10, 8, etc) wiring already on Anderson SB50 (and larger) and PP75 connectors, on old powerchair and server-sized UPS systems that get scrapped. Find your local repair shops for those, and make friends with someone there with access to the about-to-be-trashed bin. ;)

Side note that many also have bolt-in inline fuses in the dozens to hundred-plus amp range.

I have often bought connectors off of ebay, and for the XT90 specifically (which I use a lot) you can also find them at Luna Cycle when the Hobbyking Washington warehouse is out of stock.

XT90 sockets (that the pins insert into) is 4.2mm dia, and the rear socket (that the wire goes into) is 3.8mm diameter. It perfectly seats Hobbyking AWG8 wire (8-ga), and of course the smaller 10-ga. If you are buying 2:1 heat shrink, I have found that 6mm- 1/4 inch works well, if you buy the 3:1 shrink (which I like) you can use 3/8-inch (10mm).

I try to buy local, B&E Electronics to be precise.
Molex 0.093" is what I am converting too.

XT 90 and the like connectors from HobbyKing.
Local hobby stores are too expensive.

Thank you all. Guess I will take the chance on eBay and ali. Luna does have some of the connectors I am looking for but would also like to find some with the pigtails already soldered in place/etc. That being said I am planning on buying a charger from them so why not throw some of the other things in as well?

It is good to know 6mm heat shrink works for the wires. The larger heat shrink diameter I was referring to is the ones used to wrap things like this:

I will buy one of the larger-diameter assortments off ali.

Might look at this place for them. http://www.buddyrc.com/

I like to get wire and 4 mm bullets from them when I need some. Just because they are in the US, it comes quicker than HK. Not sure what they have at the moment, but they tend to be less likely to be out of stock than HK
