Congrats Nuts&Volts! I just got a note from Kyle about their recent ECTA coup and their Isle of Man plans.

I put together a bunch of information on the team here:

You've done well Kyle! How did you power it in the end? Did you have to borrow a pack for it?

hope to see it at the next TTXGP race :)
Voltron the Electric RG250 - Dual Agnis, Kelly 1200A controller, 6 kWh of A123 cells from Cell_Man and a shitty old chassis from 1985 :| Top speed 180 km/h, max current 600 A @ 100 V.
VoltronII 8)
Say no to spaghetti junction LiPo! Assembled Hi-power LiPo packs of any size!

Come on Casey! If you want prototype racing, throw your leg over something with lithium in it :D

We borrowed 22 10s packs from Shawn Lawless which are/were used in some of his drag bikes and drag truck. We wired up 22 of the 10s packs (11s2p) and stuffed them in a tank box. Not the most aerdynamic or comfortable for the rider, but the easiest to build in only two weeks time. These are FlightPower EV Batteries (50-100C cells) in 10s packs, 5Ah. We only hit them with about 25C peak thou. They performed great, peak battery power of 92-93kW with a 4kWh pack!

Unfortunately the pack is too small to race in a TTXGP race. Also Shawn is picking the batteries back up to try to set a few more records on his own machines. We will hopefully be back out in late September at the ECTA to go over 150mph. Our priority right now is designing our second bike.

I have an invitation to make it out to Daytona this fall for the TTXGP final, but the bike won't be there.
