ONE Agni that beat a 450 !!

Guys, this weekend i enjoyed many ev ride with Bikeraider during 4 days of pure ebike fun! He brang his elecrtic motorcycle

Guess what.. we've meet a guy with a 450 motocross. We discussed and then we decided to test both for a short race!!

We beat the 450 two time! on a 1km race on the road !!! It was just unbelievable for the owner of the 450 !! He admited that that elecrtic motocross beated him!.. he was very impressed and Bikeraider and me as well!

We did the test in both direction and we beated it. during the start of teh race we was pretty close distance and when he shifted gear that gaved me a little more advance and when i reached the "turbo mode" on the controller at around 60km/h, that boost just smoked him very fast up to 91km/h.. then we stoped and did another race for coming back to the meet point.


The 7years old little kit just did not understand how "that strange thing" could be able to beat his father powerfull motocross! that pic just reveal the flash moment of expression of him...


Just to remember you some details about the bileraider electric motocross:

-It weight 190 pounds with 3.5kWh battery
-it have the lastest version of the AGNI motor
-an alltrax 72V 450A ( limited to 350A)
-and a similar size ofd a 250 motorcycle.

Probably not the best place to mount the motor. It will be subjected to a constant stream of mud and dirt, and it won't help having that much unsprung weight over the back wheel.

Sooo, 72V X 350A = 25kW and 33.7-HP ?

What is the tooth-count of the two sprockets?

you have to think about two thinks:

1. the voltage will drop at 350A

2. the motor and the controller are not 100% efficient...

so at the end you will have maybe 15-20kW

Let's do some mathematical approach:

The internal resistance of one of these Konion cells is 54 miliohm.

the apack have 40 parallel x 16 in serie

1/(40 * (1/0.054)) = the internal resistance of the entire pack = 1.35miliohm per 1s40p

The entire pack does have 16 x 1.35 = 21.6miliohm

with a fully charged pack, the stabilised voltage is around 4.1V per cell = 65.6V

The voltage drop at 350A is V=R*I = 350 x 0.0216 = 7.56V

so the droped voltage is: 65.6 - 7.56 = 58.4V

and the power is V * I = 58.4 x 350 = 20.440kW

The motor at full power is 92% efficient so the real power on the wheel is 18.804kW = 25.2hp at the wheel

And a 450 worth its salt puts down more than that, but theres weight, traction, suspension loading, rider skill, gearing, etc.. which make a not insignificant difference in a dirt drag. And I'm not sure 450's are geared for 60mph which is why I was wondering if the mongoose mongrel lead the whole way or just at the end. Impressive if the whole way!

Good to know that the Agni kicks serious butt. My guess would be the torque from that motor which will surpass the Honda 450 and the advantage of not shifting gears. 190 pounds? Can you stuff some more batteries inside?

common DOC...you KNOW that the cells are NOT at 4,1V...

hot of charger...YES...but after one or two seconds at 350A they will be down to 3,6V

soooo...do the math again...

its 16kW....

and what about the controllers efficiency?
