I lucked out ... got me an Alltrax AXE! (300 amp 24 - 48V controller)
I was willing to settle for the Alltrax NPX, but found an AXE.
Advantage - extreme degree of programability!
"Controller Pro Software" allows easy programming, from nearly any computer.

A little learning is a dangerous thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
There, shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely, sobers us again.

I enjoy enlightening ... and enlivening the spirit of the innovators.

You brushed motor users are spoiled. Those alltraxes are really cheap, $200-$275 for a 130A continuous controller.

No real equivalent in the brushless world unless you want to spend $1,800 on a sevcon gen4 and programming setup.
Or spend $500 on a 36FET infineon, IF you can find one.

Yeah ok, i get the appeal of brushed now.

The all-arounder: 8T MAC motor on a Trek 4500.
The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

Real time monitoring with old laptop!

Re-program "on the fly"?

Program only, controller not attached. ... likely.
0.0V battery voltage ... etc.
