CA Pole number for chinese 1500W motor

Postby MrKang » Fri Jul 27, 2012 5:15 am

I was wondering what number of poles i have to enter into my CA.
It is connected through DP to my LYEN 12FET and it is now standard set on #23 poles.

Does anybody know what the correct number of poles are for these chinese scooter hub motors?

Because when speeding exceeds 54 56 km the CA goes wild and doesn't show the accurate speed.

I don't know why but when I entered the number of poles my motor has in the CA, the speed was wild. I ended up plugging a Tom Tom GPS to my scooter and went out for short rides to see if the speeds would match. I stopped a few times to change the number of poles in the CA to get the speeds of the GPS and CA to match as close as possible. My scooter motor has 17 poles per phase and IIRC, I ended up entering 24 poles in the CA. Hope that helps.

Is it ready yet?
