I've been watching this radical build taking place down under. Just thought this needed to be shared.
Make sure you watch em all. In part 3 they got the bike up and running.

I watched this beast come to life what a nice machine very powerful and impressive I'd love a blip of that up my local tracks shame it's as far away as possible from me I'd love to just take a look in person walk around it and dribble.

Epic build , i miss my super moto  .... this would be a dream ride through suburbia , attention to detail is awesome, id like to know what the final cost is.

Iirc the price for the mobipus motor is 1200-1400 $. The controller mobipus 72600 is about 1100 $. Costs for battery is almost not even worth mentioning or guessing as each builder will have different needs for run time, favorite cells to use etc. But to have enough battery to give you both the run time and the amp needed to really enjoy such a build I will say you are easily looking at more money for the battery then the motor and controller combined. And using some of the newer hi Ah, hi C rate cells could easily run the battery costs more then twice that.

If you get a donor for cheap ie a donor with a blown out motor, or you already got a motard I would just start building and get parts whenever financially possible. If you think of what kind of money we have sunk into our electric bicycles here on ES it actually makes perfect sense to do a crazy hi powered electric motard build. If you get lucky scoring a really cheap donor with good brakes and suspension the final costs will still be high, but I imagine the total cost of such a build will be less to or close to buying a high level electric bike like say the Stealth bikes.

And a motard will bring you fun in a whole new way. Way more electric power then even the most crazy e-bike build.

Of course ... ive had my eye on a project like this for a few years now... Sketch if your reading this and if you dont mind.. what was the final cost.

I didn't know this project was done by ES member sketchism. I guess I must have forgotten to visit his face page. Very cool that is it is made by sketchism, and controller an motor by ES member shenta. This forum never stops to amaze me. The bar is constantly risen. Better parts come alive when the far east vendors and manufacturers does not deliver. Think of all the cool and awesome stuff that has sprung out from this forum. Everything from controllers, motors, radical cooling options etc.

Man this is a great forum. I hope the vast majority will continue to use the forum over the facebook option or chat or whatever other options might be available. The number one reason I favor the forum is that sharing is caring. Here people can search, find help, motivation, gather ideas or help others.

This a great place to be!

Any more info you can share at this time?

I've been checking his youtube to see if there was a fallow up, a part 4 with a summary of costs, parts lists etc. Nothing yet.
If people have any of that information pls share here in this thread.

Real bummer that the Mobipus controller and motor went OEM only. Such a perfect combo for en epic motard build. For controllers there might be some candy from QS motor, the LBMC controllers. > 700 A and up to 120 v. Priced almost the same as the Mobipus. Might be that the LBMC controllers can deliver the needed peak power to make a motard build epic and fun to ride.
