I plug my bike and my Volt into my SunPort Solar plugs to run on clean renewable energy. SunPorts are Smart plugs that can charge your bike and turn off when your charge is complete. There is a microchip in the plug to measure the amount of energy going through the plug and then matches it to solar energy credits S-REC's. I love knowing that my bike and car are using clean energy and not just what is sent from my local utility co. (most non-renewables). http://www.sunport.co

It does nothing of the sort. You get exactly the same power as everyone else.

It's amazing what unscrupulous companies can get people to pay for.

Spammers have to post their crap wherever they can; it boosts their seo; they don't care whether anyone even wants to see their link spam on their sites or not, or responds to it at all.

At least this one stuck their junk in the online market forum instead of trying to hide it in a discussion forum like most of them do.

ELI5: How is SunPort (Kickstarter Project) not a scam? What does it even do, what does it have to do with Solar power (or "Solar credits", what is a Solar Credit, and what exactly is an SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Certificate)?

Opinion: ‘Renewable energy certificates’ are a feel-good scam

Good morning. Here is a short video done by the EPA last year to explain how Solar REC's are used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_12VYXms6-c
