ELECTRO-MAGNETIC PROPULSION UNIT is my project to convert a all terrain tricycle from HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS to an electric kick scooter.I will be using a automobile alternator converted to run as a motor controlled by a HOBBYKING 190amp ESC ,two 24group lead acid flooded batteries, band brakes on the rear wheels, front wheel drive using a 12" pulley applied where the peddles are now.I changed all the bears to high speed bearings I bought from BARSTOW INDUSTRIAL (not for high speed but for strenght). You can see I made the frame longer sorry I did not take a before picture.I hope to be able to go get groceries with it. The pulley ratio is a little high for the speed I want but I don't have to use all the throttle.

Haha, well that is one way to do it. I love these mad max style builds. Keep us updated.

The all-arounder: 8T MAC motor on a Trek 4500.
The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

Thanks neptronix. I have tried it as a glider and it is lots of fun as long asI keep the speed in the range I had in mind when I started.
