Today I went to AltCarExpo, where I had the opportunity to meet Andy of FalconEV in person,. After the show I met him at his shipper and procured the following box 'o 12ah 3.2v LiFeP04 from him. While I was there, I literally unscrewed the box lid from these batts, fresh off the boat. Some of the batteries were marked with an x, the ones Andy pulled out for me were marked with a v, not sure why.

These cells are what I envisioned LiFe as being all along! Chargers are the same white-plastic-multi-cell chargers I am seeing with every single LiFe pack.

I am also holding a bike for Andy with one of the new Hornet motors, and a 48v 25ah LiMn pack, for sale to anyone in the LA area. Very impressive looking vehicle, pics to follow, and details to follow on the cells when I get a chance to do something with them.

I forgot to ask - Andy's website lists prisimatic cells at 3-5c , and I hope this is the case here because I want to pull at least 40a from them. I think the stubbier cells were the ones I have seen pictured with the higher C. We shall see.

Cell Quick stats:

496 g (1 lb 1.5oz) on my kitchen scale, tape on terminals removed
27.36 mm thick (at slight bulge in center of cell)
80.35 mm wide
114.40 mm tall, to top of center vent
103.4 0mm to top of cell, excluding terminals
3.39v - fresh out of box voltage.
3.60v - alleged peak-charge voltage

I am working on an ergonomic pack shape, but might give up and make the standard blocks.

I just ordered a pack based on what I believe to be the same 12Ah stubby prismatics and the response I received from Andy is as follows:
"specs are 10C peak 5C continous..way beyond the limits of your controller, -20c to 60 centigrade before any loses are noticed."
Adam

Look forward to testing these.

Welcome! Look forward to hearing your report.

That's not beyond the limits of my controller
