Meh...wojtek i was just joking about lipo safety.
Although this is great example of what can go wrong I admit it and i know i am going to get flamed for what i am about to say, but this thread is all about the benefits of lipo danger. In this case lipo danger created a rare thread about hot chicks on flaming bikes. The moral of this story is we need to throw lipo safety out the window when it comes to riding (lets still be safe while charging guys) but be sure to pack a video camera on our rides and have the where with all to pull that camera out first thing when fire breaks out.
Seriously the real moral story here is all singles ESers (or ES cheaters) need to have an extra chick bike around for when the opportunity rises.
All ESers who are single should start building a chick bike ASAP...with flowers and wicker baskets etc. And load that basket with the densist most volatile lipo you can find.
By the way the daisy electra in this video makes a terrific chick bike...can't say enough about it. Steel frame and forks, surprisingly light weight and sturdy as well. And it totally survived this fire! I think most other bikes would have melted.
Ebiking makes a great date. Better, safer and way cheaper than taking them up in private plane for example. I have taken a lot of friends who are girls on that bike and they just love it. Its like some weird thrill ride for them.
And its hard to preach safety etc when a few hours before this video we were flying over the same golden gate park in a cessna. Now thats dangerous. Fire risk and all.
If you think a little lipo fire is going to damage ebiking, small planes crash all the time in gigantic fireball messes and there is no pubic outrage to ban private flying.
And before i fly i go through a 20 minute checklist and it is a hassle but morally and legally you have to do it. If i followed a pre ride checklist on my bikes, and was super super careful (ie no detour through the frisbee golf course) this mishap would have never happened and the day would have played out differently. Also i would ride a frock of a lot less.
And this thread would have never happened and we wouldnt be sharing these precious moments complete with pics and video now.

My life might be totally different this morning if it wasnt for lipo danger.
