Charging a 58.4v Battery with 60v Charger

Postby jtmjtm2001 » Sat Jun 30, 2012 12:14 pm

My lifepo4 charger died the other day. I have a 60v charger lying around. Is it save to charge a 58.4 pack from BMS Battery with a BMS "http://www.bmsbattery.com/bmspcm/323-17s26s-24a-max-discharge-current-bms.html"? Thank you.

I haven't opened it yet but there is something loose inside. I'll take pictures tonight when I get home from work tonight. I have ordered a new charger and was wondering if it safe for a short term until the new charger arrives. I anyone wants the charger I'll give it away for free just the cost to cover the shipping (USA only).

Here is the picture. It appears to be a blown ac capacitor.

Almost forget to mention the charger is 58.4 3a from Powerizer aka Battery Space.
