Anyone have detailed plans for battery architectures? For example,
1. No spot welding designs so easy repair of individual cells.
2. Serial blocks that are paralleled.
3. Single active balance BMS to manage all the blocks sequentially.
4. A BMS that actually controls the motor control action relative to max available load.
5. Real time BMS management of the serial blocks relative to their SOH/SOC.
6. Resistive network module to test the BMS without the use of an actual battery block.
Serial battery blocks would allow shipping and then be configured as a fully functional battery. For example,
shipped without cell-to-cell connectivity so the block acts as the shipping container for the cells.
I am sure this discussion will be vigorous. Thanks and be gentle in your comments, after all, this is just the
beginning of 2017 and soon Tesla will give us all the cells we need without ocean shipping.
