As I read it I thought of all those here building custom controllers, motors, etc. The Kepler Drive, LFP's custom-broached freewheels...
While 90% of that work is being done for the passion of E-Biking, there's got to be some info in the link above that's valuable to those ES members smart/bold enough to blaze new trails.
I know I'd gladly pay 2.3 times the cost to make for something like the Recumpense drive or some of the custom controllers under development here.
