After a recent injury, hospital, rehab and other stuff i am unable to return to my former job as i am now considered to be handicapped. The old job just involved too much travel. the job did give me a varied background in machining, electronics, computers etc. sort of became good at many things but not an accredited expert at anything. the classic jack of all trades, master of none. this sort of limits my career options when looking for jobs. so the intention is to set up a parts business geared towards servicing and customizing e-bikes.

the core of the business would be electronic parts. what i need is a name for the business. what i am looking for is some suggestions.

I guess that means "F*CKthoseyellowpages.com" is out... nice ring to it tho.

ok..

EVdevCenter.com

Any plans to build your own website ? These days it's an idea to name your business by your url..

i always thought it was name first URL later. oh well.

yes i was thinking it would primarily be web based.

ps i got your motor and controllers today. i have not completely unpacked it. so i only counted 3 controllers so far. i'll get to work doing the 4110 upgrades tomorrow.

yellow pages aren't that bad. atl east they fix thier mistakes as soon as they can. still takes a year though........

but using that as a base i would be much more tempted towards F*ckUPS.com

but i like your other suggestion. thanks

There should be 4 in there, one per side and 2 on top..

These days it's vital to google any ideas for names to see who is using them or something similar.

You might not want your business to be one-typo-away from some malicious a-hole's website or some dweeb's WOW gaming handle.

Optimally, you want a simple name that is unused/unrelated to anything online. It helps if the name is descriptive, but that hasn't stopped some of the biggest names out there.

:D

E-bikes 'R Us (use backwards R )

E-Bike SupEr StorE (use cute capital E for electricity)

It's late, so that's the best I could come up with. :?

How about BikeTronix?
If it was me, it would be more like DiabolicalLaboratories.com

Finding a good name is tough. Definitely Google your ideas to see what's already out there.

how about the Wyle E. Coyote influence and call it ACME Devices?

or combine the 2 to get ..... ACME Diabolical Devices?

Hehe, I like the ACME part. Too bad with insanely long copyrights in this country you can't use him as your mascot.

much as i like that Acme Diabolic moniker myself ( i also thought of Diabolically Ingenious Products Patents and Inventions DIPPI for short.) You and i knowing the history of the name would have no problem dealing with such a company. but new comers may have a problem

if you were searching on the internet and found a product that was exactly what you wanted, the price was right but the company (that you have never heard of before) was named ACME Diabolical Devices, would you think it was a big joke or would you trust your credit card info? I'm not sure.

Ah, mythology, a rich source. You might consider a member of the Aesir: Thor, god of thunder and lightning. Although, riding an Ebike doesn't make you Thor

Consider what happens when you write vs speak your url, pick carefully.. example i went with Ypedal.. but alot of people spell it Peddle or pedle and can't find my site lol..
Ya gotta buy the "typo urls" too, and redirect to your site.

i think that i would go with Acme Diabolical long before i spend 10grand for a website name.
