Has anyone tried those cruise controls that have about 4 lights for different positions? How well do they work? Somebody showed one in a motor checking video.

Thanks,
Al

I haven't, but would note the new Device Formerly Known As Drainbrain has speed limiting, current limiting, and throttle limiting. I assume these parameters are adjustable on-the-fly, and so could be used as a cruise control in conjunction with a switch across the high and wiper throttle leads.

If the clyte controller in question has the conector on it it's an easy install.

I received my new DB V2 in the mail 2 days ago.. got confirmation from Justin that the backlit display will be ok with my 72v pack and will plug it in tonight..

The throttle limit can be set so you just run the throttle full-on and you get limited output for a semi-cruise setting... but i have to play around with it still.
