whats the diference between a 15fets to 24fets in controller

whats the diference between a solder shunt modded controller and a greentime stock controller with more fets
http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/52 ... alers.html

shunt modded controller
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 89986.html

so do u get the same results if u solder shunt mod the 1500w controller?

what does the extra 9 fets do? is it worth to send the money for 2500w controller?

will my top speed be the same but with stronger torque?

what bike, motor, battery, your weight, terrain, etc.....

more fets is a bigger box, will deliver high amps more reliably... but it may be a waste of money if you only need a few kw.

its Emmo X series electric scooter. probably weight 250lb 48km max spd @ 34km range

will more fets just make the controller more stable?

or will i get same result if i just solder shunt modded a 1500w controller to 2500w?

cost is almost double to buy

it's all about the amps...

what voltage is your battery pack ?

regardless, I would run away from those controllers.

First, the 4410 FET is fine, sort of. But there are better choices in FET. It can handle less than half the power of a 4110 FET, so a 24 FET controller with 4410 FETs is half as good as a 12 FET with 4110 FETs.

More FETS won't make you faster. The FET is just a switch. It turns on, you get power. A Single 4110 FET can handle 180 amps at 25c(77 degrees f) 130 amps at 100C (212 degrees f). So in theory a 6 FET controller is overkill for most extream Ebikes.... If you could keep the FETs cool enough.

One reason for more FETs is heat disapation. The more current handled by a FET, the more it heats up. If you double the number of FETs, you cut the amount of currnet in half in each one, meaning half the heat each one needs to get rid of.

Ultimatly, it just depends on the motor you have and the current you're going to run as to what's best.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
