Hey

Well its a 120v ac to dc controller

It says it operates the motor from 0-130v dc

The big main cap is 1500uf.. 160v.. 200v surge

I have a irfp4568 mosfet handy.. and the famous irfb4110.. but i dont think neither work based on spec sheets..

Ill take any suggestion you have.. i can order from ebay.. that fine..

Thanks

My stock list says I have Qty (10) IXGH25N90A but I don't remember seeing them. Looks to be a pretty close match. Must be old, Octopart doesn't show any vendors stocking it.

If you want a couple, I could go searching through my cabinets. Attached is all the data I have on it.

this is the IGBT used in the big EMC-1000 chargers as i mentioned earlier. you should go to their webstore and see what other IGBTs they carry.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/110886765344?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

here is a look at their IGBT's:

Will the tosbiba gt50j325 work?

I actually have 2 of them here brand new from an old project

Thanks

they work on the front end of those charger which have 340V on input, but split between the two push pull transistors too.

if you use them make sure you use a matched pair for the push pull. that was a mistake i made early, just swapping out the one burned up npn transitor in the push pull pair.

worth a try imo, especially since they are not committed to something else.

The controller only has one mosfet

This one is definatly a bigger package.. but as long as it will work.. i can fit it where the original was

Thanks for the help

i thought we were talking IGBT. did not know this was a a mosfet so these IGBTs would not function in place of a mosfet.

It does say fast speed igbt in the spec sheet.. so it should work then..

Maybe im a bit confused on the difference

it might work, not sure. look at the voltage in the circuit there i guess and see if the transistor part of the IGBT can withstand it. it might require more gate charge than a mosfet, stuff i guess i should know.

the toshiba igbt get listed above happened to work...

i also replaced the massive 1500uf 200v cap that look like it had seen quite some use

thanks for the help!!
