Will both give the same range on a 36v 500w bike kit? I can get 3 x12v 10ah seal lead for 15$ each free ship they weigh 3kgs each so its about 19 lbs for the whole pack. the lifepo4 costs 300$ for it on ebay and who knows if its even reliable at all? Btw if your lighter can it give you a longer range I weigh 145 lbs so I thought maybe that would help.

Less than half the range, and much less battery life. You can probably pull only 5 amphrs from the lead without hurting them, and the Peukert effect also will kick in. Lead is a waste of your money.

Why even limit your lithium battery to LiFePO4, which are also relatively heavy for their size. Modern lithium cells are half the weight. IMHO, these batteries are the way to go now for 500W kits. Nothing spoils an electric bike more than weight:

You can also get them from BMSBattery a bit cheaper.
