im having trouble finding somewere that will deal with my alpha custom build, my local bike shop tells me they cant true the wheel because its a moto rim 19".
Does any one build wheels for ebikes on here or know someone that does? im thinking of scaling down to either 18" rear or a 17" as strong as possible basicly.. i managed to dint the rim early on and now its so "un true" the tyre touches the swing arm as it rotates.
motor is same size as a QS203.

any help or referrals to some who can help would be great
thanks

It might help if you said where you are if you want a service nearby.

I re ently trued a wheel for a guy with a similar wheel. The problem is that it doesn't fit a normal wheel-building stand. I had to make one out of a couple of pie es of 2×2 timber and some U brackets to hold the axle, then clamped in a vice. I can see why a bike shop wouldn't do it, but a motorcycle wheel specialist, like Central Wheels in Birmingham should be able to do it.

im in liverpool, yeah thats exactly it bike shop dont have a stand to sit the wheel on, so you reckon most motorbike specialist could sort it?

More chance than a bike shop, but people are weird about things they haven't seen before. And don't forget to tell them not to cut the wire off, because that happened to at least one guy. I've also heard of it happening when guys took their bike in for a new tyre or puncture to be fixed. You get morons everywhere.
