Hi,

I purchased a Suntour Seat Post from XX Cycle in France about 2 years ago. I forgot to order the Neoprene Cover. I tired to buy one from Suntour USA about a month after I bought one and the wouldn't sell direct and couldn't provide a USA Dealer.

So today I went online to contact Suntour at there USA site: https://www.srsuntour.com/collections/seatposts

And the Customer Service Guy couldn't have been a bigger Dick. He told me that I bought a counterfeit one and they don't need them. Entirely not true. Suntour did in fact make a cover for these. I have contacted them directly before.

I'm now done with Suntour. I will not be buying any further Suntour Products. I'll pay extra and buy a bodyfloat. The kind of rude behavior their represemtatove displayed is not acceptable in ANY business. I am just a customer trying to buy a product.

I asked for his name and he said "Valentino"... then just cut off the chat.

Who does this? Who treats PAYING customers like this?

I'd still like to purchase the cover from a Dealer for the unit I currently have. Any ideas who might stock one? They definitely help keep the dust and dirt out of the mechanical parts.

Thanks.

Get yourself a roll of self fusing silicone tape and roll your own elastic cover.
Replace it whenever you feel like it. It'll seal up better than the neoprene jacket anyway.

I have an SR Suntour parallelogram suspension seatpost that a customer gave me. I like it more than I thought I would.

great prices, find something else you need.

Thanks for the replies. I'm checking out the Online store now. Ironically I also was looking and researching the Tape which I saw on the ESI site while looking for some new grips. Was wondering as I looked at it if it attracts dirt/dust or repells it. Wonder how it would hold up with the movement of the seat post.

Likely they simply did not have the item anymore, and the chat guy could not see it on his screen anymore.

All he knows is what he can look up on his screen if he wasn't around two years ago when they did sell it.

Just come up with your own, better, solution for a boot on that post.

I got mine here and a backup spring.
