Hi,
I'm searching looking for a controller where size is the most important. It can only be 74mm wide to fit INSIDE a Culbix 75mm frame
There is no need for housing.
72v
50A cont. And little bit more peak.
Only need a trottle and (progressive) regenerative braking. I'm using the CA to drive the controller.
I don't have the skills to build my owne Lebowsky controller.
Need it shipped to belgium.

Can you guy's help me, or point me in the right direction?

I got the Kelly KBS72121X controller,
And i looks like its capable to handle 55A FASE current, not battery current.
Its only 26A battery current.

Are you sure how did you test it?

you first set the motor current in percent, than you multiply this value (in amps) with the percent you set for battery current.
an example with 55/130A rated controller

motor current: 80%
130A * 0,8 = 104A phase
battery current: 50%
104A * 0,5 = 52A battery

I guess your right, 52a for 10sec boost and 26a continuous

Im sorry to mislead you phase current is an awful trick

Yes, it can do 55A phase current continuous and 130A peak for 10sec, but what gives you the idea that this is only 26A batt?

that's right

if you set phase current to 100% than it's the 130A as specified.
batt amps can be only set to 70% from what i know, so 130A x 0,7 = 91A which would be about 8kW peak at max allowed voltage.
Not bad for such a small controller.

I wish it put out 91A

Im pretty sure it only allows 50% battery current

how do you increase it to 70%?

50% is max in the settings

I had it in memory that i could choose 70% batt current on the KBS48121-X which i used for some bikes when i was working for an e-bike company and i also have something about different firmware versions in my mind, but thats already more than two years ago so please don't nail me down on this.

Spec sheet for that controller also says 50% is max. Not sure where the 70% is coming from

Burned the controller anyway.
Bought a bigger 90A battery current 24 pc mosfet controller instead.

So there goes the plan. Must place controller outside the frame.

Did you just throw it in a fire? Or how did you burn it?

What model number did you buy instead?

interested

Was the Phaserunner too pricey (96A phase)?

Absolutely not teklektik,
The one i bouth was much more expencive.
Just didn't know the phaserunner existed. That is also the original reason of my first post.

Phase runner is pretty nice looking, I didn't know it was rated so nicely! I may have to give it a try myself
