Hi all. Is there some trick to getting the disc/wire side cover off of a H3540? It's time for a bearing replacement. The drive side is ready to go. Still have not managed to pull the disc side off of the stator. I've cut out the sealant and pulled the plastic seals, but this thing won't move off the axle. Is there a trick or is my bearing just really bad?

I drill a big washer 3 holes and screw it to 3 holes of the disc mounts, then use a puller. If the bearing is stuccked on the axle, the cover will come without it. Then heat the bearing before pulling it off.

When you put a new bearing, press it in the cover bearing seat, using SKF bearing paste if necessary. Never hit or hammer it down, for this will damage the bearing and compromise its reliability.
