Ausbike Expo 2011 Melbourne

Just two weeks before the inaugural Interbike expo in Las Vegas I visited today its (much smaller) aussie version - the Ausbike

There were a few electric exhibits, predominantly EZ.

It was great to bump into a few friends, old and new, especially voicecoils from GlowWorm Bicycles

Needless to say I rode my e-bike to the event!

Spent the day there as well.
The Stevens ebike was interesting for the frame but not so much for the $5000+ price tag for a 250W ebike

My two favs of the day were not electric - just nice frames.

Was also looking at the Yuba - now *very* interested in the bare black V4 frame they have. Would go nicely with my NuVinci CVT and a mid drive.

Yeah, the RRP of the Stevens doesn't make any sense. However, acc to the sale rep "it can do 300% regen" Whatever that means.. (sarcasm)
